Is it just me or are most penstyle carts out there total crap? Recently I purchased rubber-tipped carts from several sources and even a few hard-tip carts and they all have a problem with the filler material rapidly receding into the cartridge after only a few drags. :(

Additionally, the filler of the rubber-tipped carts seem to have an adhesive at the bottom (mouth-tip end) of the cart. The cartridges I had purchased a few months ago had none of those issues but the filler in any new carts I have purchased shrink to 3/4 of the amount of filler after the first 5 minutes of use.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Has anyone found a good reliable source for carts that are not prone to this issue?

I don't know as 'crappy' would be the way I would describe them....

but yes... all my carts fit your description.

I figured it was some type of operator error... since I'm fairly new to this.

I've been fussing around with hemostats... adjusting the cart filler... I was thinking about putting an air conditioning o ring in the bottom of the thing... (as a spacer) but couldn't decide if the o ring would degrade...

Suggestions?

Where have you gotten these Frankly??

Mainly from ruyan direct, but it's had for me to be certain because they all get thrown in a box I have for carts and I don't separate them by where I got them from. I've ordered carts from a lot of folks lately.

I've just been using a bent up paperclip to "fluff" the cart material regularly. I also remember the cart material being more dense than the new carts appear to be. Similar to if you compared the cart material in a 510 to a 901.

I am New at this. But, yes, my 801 filler material seems to only be about 3/4 the length it should be. So the filler gets pushed down by the atomizer and you lose the vapor.

What I did was to put some paper, about 1/4 the lenth of the cart, on the bottom of the cart.(I used coffee filter paper bent like an accordian.) This works great. No more adjustments or pulling the filler material up. The cart has been like this for over a week with no hassles---just drop some juice in once in a while.

Of course, the next step would be to find some longer filler material.

I'm sure that somebody more knowledgeable will chime in, but the high bridge atomizers tend to push the filter material back into the cartridge. I have some that are slightly shorter (from JC) and this does not happen with them. I think I'm going to order some empties from them because they work great and have a LARGE reusable condom.

But I've also seen some carts lately that have the adhesive applied halfway up the side. It seems that the purpose of this is either sloppiness, or to prevent the user from pulling the filler out and washing it.

My modus operandi lately has been to start with a prefilled cartridge, top it off for a few days, and then set it aside for later cleaning and reuse/injection. I have about 200 cartridges now and lots of juice still coming, so I'm going to set up a little assembly line to precisely refill them. Yes, I have too much time on my hands. :D

I know this post is not about pen style cartridges but I'm not allowed to start my own thread:nah:

I am South African and bought a Twisp powered by Janty, but the cartridges suck they only last a few minutes. Minutes! It costs a lot more here than overseas so someone help me please - I don't want to keep buying rubbish cartridges that run out8-o

Anyone who has any advice would be greatly appreciated. :D

ditto for me quite frankly im getting sick and tired of this whole ecig thing, the atomisers, batteries, cartridges are all junk the cartridges recently tho are alot worse,i cant go anywhere without a paper clip, an extra battery or two or three, juice and i go thru tons of kleenex wiping ejuice off of everything

This E cig takes some dedication, sure it's not as easy as a lighter and a pack of smokes, but do you really want to go back and hurt yourself?
