Hi all!
Ok, so I'm one of those folks that wasn't likely to ever make the full switch over because I was always craving "something else" beyond straight NIC juice, but I'll get to that in a few minutes. I was fortunate enough to get in on a small batch release of Aroma's WTA and I chose the Turkish Blend Flavor. As it is something VERY special, I'll break out the flavor and then my impressions on the effects of the high level of WTA that I requested. IMHO, it's not yet perfect, but it may be as perfect as Aroma intends to go, and it's pretty damned tasty.
Let me break it into the traditional categories from most simple, to most complex.
1. Vapor
2. Throat hit
3. Potency
4. Value
5. BY FAR the most complex category, FLAVOR
(Especially for any tobacco aficionados out there)
6. Effects of the WTA
7. Areas of improvement
(My hardware: Ego battery on a 4Mil Smok Tech Carto)
1. Vapor production- In this category, it's not rocket science at this point and most MFG's have figured out that a 50/50 blend, or a 70/30 PG to VG blend gives the best vapor and throat hit. The Turkish Blend WILL not disappoint in this category.
2. Throat hit - Ok, so even though it's become common knowledge that a 50% PG mix gives you the best throat hit available, the WTA mixed with this INCREDIBLE Turkish flavored tobacco figuratively PUNCHED me in this throat. I don't have any other way to describe it. It's a plus and a negative in my opinion, because it was like smoking a filterless high quality tobacco analog. It even had a bit of "burn" to it the way a filterless analog would.
3-4. So, I guess that potency and value go hand in hand. As such, I've combined them here the way they belong. The price per mil, for what I received, IMHO, was BEYOND fair. Sure it's a little more pricey than standard NIC juice, but what you get is so beyond amazing, that I can't really describe it except to say that my personal body chemistry, which was used to a pack and a half a day, plus a can a snuff for many years, would make the average person believe that I'd be a high nic junky, but I'm not, but this was more than enough after 4 drags to make me stop. I'm happy around 11 MG with straight NIC juice and beyond that it's not pleasant to me. Now, when I dripped this, which is necessary to get the true and amazing flavor experience, I took four drags on a 14MG high WTA, and I had to put it down because I was uncomfortable for about 45 minutes due to the strength of the WTA and NIC. Bottom line, if it's WTA you are looking for, I can't imagine this being any better of a a value. To that point, though I tested it solo, I realized quickly, that I would so have so much greater enjoyment if I dripped this one to one of my cartos of other flavors, to add a touch of world class tobacco flavor, while getting my WTA. On that note, I honestly would say it's probably too inexpensive, but I'm not running the business and I'm damned glad it's the price it is and I hope to God it stays that way!
I wasn't able to drop analogs until I received this, and within one day, which is now 5 days ago, I've not touched an analog. Do I still have cravings, yes, but all I need to do is drip this on my carto with three for four drops on my 4MIL carto, and whammo, I'm good without any interest in tar and smoke analogs. To be fair, everyone's body chemistry is different, so you may find you can vape this all day, but I doubt anyone can vape it the way they do their favorite Nic only juice.
5. On this category, I could write for an hour easy, but I'll keep it simple and straight. If you think Ry-4 from anyone, tastes like tobacco, you'll not enjoy this at all. If you are looking for a rich, quality tobacco flavor where you can almost taste the full richness of tobacco smoked 100 years ago, this is for you. It's smells is pure tobacco bliss. The first inhale, is flavor loaded with with a rich American tobacco flavor that is unlike ANYTHING I've been exposed to to date. I enjoy RY-4, but this is as close to real fine quality tobacco as anything I've vaped, or even smelled. It smells like my favorite analogs, which I'll leave out, but trust me when I say if you are after a real tobacco flavor, give this one a try.
6. The addition of the WTA makes this like smoking, only better IMHO. In fact, I don't want this in the AM because it's too relaxing. I want pure nic juice, but after 5PM, when work is winding down, the light relaxing sensations that I enjoy from this masterpiece in progress will keep me coming back for more for many many years. It's the same relaxation you enjoy after a long break from smoking, and you take that first drag, but get this, IMHO, it's actually better and longer lasting than an analog. Ill never go back to analogs as long as this is available.
7. Areas for improvement: My only real complaints are that it has a a pleasant rich tobacco flavor going in, but out, it's lacking, so I'm of the opinion that it needs more of the flavor mixture that allowed you to arrive at this masterpiece. The second wish, would be that it were a bit smoother on the finish, and on the the throat hit. I would never in a million years think I'd find myself complaining about a throat hit being too much, but in this case, I'd enjoy more flavor, and something to smooth out the throat hit and finish.
Beyond that, Aroma has created something special. Hopefully, they'll keep working on it, but it's amazing now and I'm sure will only get much much better!!!
