Well for some reason my SB stopped working. I just got it today. Charged up the batteries and 8 hours or so later was vapeing away. Suddenly it just stopped firing altogether. Tried a different atty, and nothing. Put the attys on my ego batt, and they work fine.... Not sure if this is user error or perhaps a one off problem with the unit itself.

I ended up checking the battery with a multimeter, and the battery is dead as a doornail. It isn't putting out any voltage at all. Looks like the SB might be fine, but the battery is a paperweight at this point. I have 2 more batteries coming in tomorrow that I ordered when altsmoke didn't have any in stock so I'll try that when they arrive.

@docbrown: I only have the one battery at the moment. I let it charge for ~8 hours (at least until the light turned from red to green) before putting it in the SB. Even when I put the battery back into the charger (I am using the "standard" trustfire in the kit), it still shows green. *shrugs*. Multimeter works and I can see a 3.5v coming from my Joey ego battery as well as some voltage on a standard 9v consumer battery. I get 0v on the ultrafire. I have 2 batteries that should be here tomorrow from battery junction. Same type (ultrafire xsl 18650/3.7v/2600mah). I wonder if something tripped the protection on it. Hard to backtrack all the troubleshooting steps at this point. I wonder if I hit the battery with some load for a period of time if it will kick off the protection. I'll see what spare stuff I have around the house if I have some extra time today. Maybe try a parallel short to kick the battery back "on."

@cddz: Thanks for the reply! I really appreciate the Sunday effort. You guys have been very supportive. Couldn't ask for better service. Well... maybe a better battery... but hey... ..... happens. :)

So for the hell of it I figured I would take the battery apart. After all, I doubt I am going to pay 1/2 the cost of a new battery just to ship it back, and I'm an engineer so my curiosity got the better of me. :)

So after pulling the protection off, I was able to see some voltage on the battery (which came in just at 2v). After doing a load test on it, it only puts out .02v haha.

Looks like I found my problem. This battery is totally shot. It doesn't output worth crap under load.

Can't say I have never done that one before..... I was desparate....

Well I got 2 new batteries in from "battery junction." Got them all charged up and running. Threw them on the multimeter and everything checked out. (Got around 4v and a solid 3.7v under load).

I slapped that puppy into my new silver bullet, and presto. All is well in the world now that I am pulling on some great vapor.

Been vapeing on this for about 2 hours now with no issues. I'm a little apprehensive to put anything else but this standard 510 on it at the moment as the last time I put my boge lr (2ohm) cartomizer is the last time that the bad battery fired, but I may just get over that in a few days now that I have an extra battery just in case. Not sure if the cartomizer jacked up my battery or not (it works fine on my ego 900 mah manual and my ego 1000 mah manual). Might take me a couple of days to get over my fear.

Big props to AltSmoke. I really appreciate the responses (especially on a Sunday.. wow guys I really appreciate it!)
