Aspire & Automatic - Not a good combination

Hey all,

All of my X2s and Spinners are automatics, and NONE of the new Aspire line clearos work on an automatic. I thought I got a vapemail full of duds, until I happened to accidentally put my finger over one of the holes when inhaling, and magically I got vapor.

It seems that the new Aspire line doesn't produce enough suction to tell the automatics to fire properly.

I've since plugged 1 of the 2 holes on each of the clearos, and they all now work on the automatic batteries. I got one of each in the new line, and the same problem applied for all of the different types... nova, mini nova, t3, etc.

Just a heads up in case anyone else prefers an automatic like I do.

P.S. Still looking for an automatic mod, any suggestions? Anyone?

For as much as everyone posts stuff like "it's up to you", or "choose what you like", there seem to be a lot of clowns who always chime in with "use a manual" whenever I bring up that I prefer an automatic.

I prefer an automatic, why is that so hard to understand? Why can't anyone seem to wrap their head around that?

If I wanted a manual, I'd have purchased a manual.

We're also in the Smokeless Image forum, and all of their devices, with the exception of the i6, are available in an automatic.

Basically, if you don't have anything useful, and constructive to add to the conversation, don't add anything to the conversation just to start trouble. It's pointless unless you actually enjoy being an internet troll.

I use an ismoka ikit auto when I'm at work most and occasionally when I'm out and about. Hold it like a cigar and it does the trick. I get far less people glaring at me when I use it vs one of my mods. Lol

The Aspire mini Vivi works OK. Just need to take slow drags. Triggers the switch just fine.

Not for me unfortunately...

I tried 7 different X2 or Spinner batteries, and 5 different Aspire models. None of them worked on any battery until I plugged at least one hole.

I'd get a slight puff here or there, which is the only reason I kept trying at all.

That's disappointing. Luckily I've yet to have issues with any of my 510 threaded bdcs on my auto. At least you are able to resolve your issue by plugging one of the air holes, but how much tighter does it make the draw? Its already a fairly tight draw on my auto as is without plugging an air hole.

For me personally, I hate an airy draw, so having it crazy tight is a good thing. I was plugging 2 of the 3 holes on the old T3 just so the draw was tight enough, but then I'd get too many leaks.

Just throwing it out there as a heads up to people who prefer automatics... and yes, we're out there.

THANK YOU!! I suppose that is why my Maxi wouldn't work on my auto X2 but the others do.....plugged one hole with my finger........................ and VOILA!
VAPE ON!!

LOL, use a manual? :D Sorry but there isn't a lot of caring about it based on the users around here. It seems to be limited to entry level devices that most folks dump pretty quick.

I totally disagree with you. I still use 65mm and 78mm cigalike automatics as well as one X2 automatic because while driving it's easier not to have to fumble for that stupid button. I just suck and I'm good, (yes, I left that one open to ridicule, so have at it if you feel the need)
OOoo....pushing a button on your battery makes you an advanced user.....I feel so inferior...NOT! LOL!

I completely agree with the OP regarding this issue. I also prefer automatic batteries, and this was a huge selling point for me getting the Volt Spinner in addition to 510 treaded ones like the Vision Spinner and Ego Twist, which are only available as manuals.

I was very disappointed when I purchased almost every Aspire model and then figured out they didn't work with my auto Spinners. :( I did seal one of the holes, but the draw is still too airy for my liking. Luckily, I also have several manual spinners, so at least I can use them. Still, I wish SI added a note in their product description stating the Aspire line won't work with the Auto Spinners. You know, in the interest of full disclosure and everything. :)

So far it seems to me like the mini-clearos (T4's) are the best option for automatic batteries. Every other clearo available seems go give me some issue, mostly airy draws and/or muted flavor.

apparently there are a few more automatic users on the forum than some other people may have though... ;)

P.S. Still no opinions on an automatic mod, huh?

I was surprised to see as many auto users too. I like my mods, but love my autos just as much. I really want to get the semi auto Beretta from nhaler. Variable volt auto battery, but then press the button 5 times and it becomes a manual battery and vice versa. Only thing is, the damn thing is just too long.

That looks a lot like the Volt Spinner, but with an auto/manual switch. Pretty interesting...

What I'd really like to see is something kind of 18650 based mod like a lavatube, or vamo in an auto/manual combo. Seems like that type of mod is easily big enough to include the circuitry needed for an automatic.
