Aspire bdc coils shorts out my mech mod

I recently started vaping, and I'm rebuilding my aspire bdc coils with precoiled 1.8 single coils. Haven't tried to build dual coils yet. I check with my ohm meter, and everything seems fine, and they work perfectly on my ego battery. But when I try them on my sigelei mech mod, the button gets insanely hot and a short occurs. In the beginning I tried removing the airflow controller, and it helped, but now it shorts everytime. This never happens with the original dual coils fresh from the package, or other atties, only with the rebuilt ones in the aspire tank. Any ideas?

I would look for the short in the 510 connection. It sounds like the positive post on the Aspire might be making contact with the body of the mod which would result in a short. Also look for other failures in the insulators around the positive battery connecting pin in the mod.

Yeah, I thought about that, but only the rebuilt ones are shorting out. Fresh coils on the same tank and mod never was a problem. And the rebuilt coils works fine on other batteries... How do I check the connection or the positive pin except from using a volt ohm meter?
