Good Day, all! I have recently started using tanks and so far I LOVE the Aspire BDC line. So, as the story goes....I opened a fresh Vivi Nova Mini and filled it with an, as yet untried, Banana Cream Pie e-juice. I did not care for this particular juice and wanted to fill the tank with a different flavor. So, I dumped out the juice, disassembled the tank into it's various components and began soaking them in a bowl of very hot water (from the tap - not boiling). Within seconds of dropping the polycarb tank in the water it became completely cloudy (frosted-looking) and opaque. I let it soak for a while and then left the parts on a dry tea towel to dry out. The cloudiness never left the plastic tank. It seemed to be some sort of film as when I scratched it, it seemed to come off. Well, my fingers are far to big to fit into that little tank, so I thought if I put it in boiling water for a few minutes it might rid the tank of the offending film. I put the tank in the boiling water for about 10 minutes, and not only did it not remove the frosted cloudiness of the tank (it actually made it worse) the threaded ends of the ploy tank MELTED, and became warped an misshapen! I this normal?? Are these type clearo tanks normally so affected by these high temps? I mean it was water, not fire! Or could this have been a faulty tank? I've put other Aspire BDC (non-Vivi) in the same temp of water to clean out an old juice, but they never became cloudy? Any advice would be appreciated....
