Received my new Aspire BDC Vivi Nova Pyrex Tank Single Unit - Black the other day and it was the best vape I've experienced to date. Come last night, I started getting burnt and weak hits off and on so I turned the voltage down from 4 to 3.8, to no avail. Refilled the tank, that didn't cure it. I have an air controller and tried various settings but that didn't help, either. I'm using the 1.8ohm head that came with it and 80/20 e liquid.

What could be the problem? The heads are a little pricey (for me) so I hesitate to change it out to a 2.1ohm. Besides, the head only has had a couple/few days of use.

I've always used the 2.1 ohms for my Aspire BDC's and have not had any problems. I have now been rebuilding coils for the Protank 2 and Aspire Nautilus but today I'm going to try rebuilding the Aspire BDC coils. Maybe you could try it yourself.....it's really not that hard. I just watched a few videos and read up on how to rebuild and it's so much cheaper.

One other thing you might try is to let the e-liquid sit/soak in after refilling.

Good Luck to You.

It sounds like another case of bad coil head. It seems like the quality control for Aspire's Coil Heads isn't getting the job done. I had the same exact problem with my Davide (uses Aspire BDC coils). I had 2 coils go bad in as many days last week. I have a 5-pack of 2.1ohm coils on the way. I hope these last better than the last 2.

Well, I swapped out the burnt 1.8ohm head for a fresh 2.1 and lo and behold it lasted all of a day. Now I'm back to burnt hits again. I cleaned the head by putting it in one of those ultrasonic things and that helped for like 5 hits. I've had enough of spending money on sub-standard junk that's all promise and no deliver. It's back to cheap cartos for me. At least they work.
