I'm running the Aspire nautilus Mini on an Eleaf istick. I run 50/50 juice at 9.5 watts on the vw setting which comes out to 4.2 volts. My question is why is the istick showing 1.9 ohms since this is a 1.8 ohm coil? It has been showing 1.9 ohms since day one. Both the Nautilus Mini and istick are brand new and I've only had them for 5 days. Is this just an insignificant variation in coils or is something wrong?

The normal variance for atomizer coils is +/- .2Ω. In addition, resistance of any coil will change with use--it can go up or down, depending to coil gunk buildup and other factors.

Good to know. I assumed it was some sort of normal variation but wanted to check since I've seen a lot of posts on issues with the BVC coils. I'm pretty happy with mine so far but I have nothing to compare it to other than the the basic evod sticks and tanks. I do get much more vapor and flavor but I've noticed a slight metallic taste with this new set up also. It isn't as bad as it was at first but it is still there. I changed out the metal drip tip to a glass one because I don't like anything metallic in my mouth. The metallic taste is still there though. I'm going to finish out this coil and hopefully the new one doesn't have it. I'm hoping I just didn't prime it well enough and I'm going to let the new coil soak in the juice overnight and do a few more primer puffs. Hopefully that will make it go away.

I had the same experience with my Nautilus Mini. Had mine for 3 or 4 weeks and it never went away. I ended up selling it.

I just got an Aspire K1 (BVC) in today, and although it is all metal/glass, it doesn't have that metallic taste. So far (3 tanks in) I am very happy with it.
