Hey there folks.
Time for another review, this time its a pod like device that was sent to me by Aspire for the purposes of this review.
As part of my MO i will get us started with some pics that with a quick glance will let you know the type of device i will be reviewing today.
Colors:
Specs:
Components:
Aspire ASP chipset:
Filling:
UNBOXING AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
Time to open the box and see what is inside, all is neatly tucked away and surprise surprise Aspire decided to splurge and throw in an extra coil.
Kudos on that Aspire,well done.
Contents in the box:
1 Cyber G kit
1 cartridge of 0.80 ohm
1 cartridge of 1.0 ohm
1 USB-C cable
1 user manual
Holding the pod it does feel small, granted i am always into bigger mods so that must be it.
Weight is about 40 grams but it is made of Aluminum alloy, that is the main body of the pod, nice and sturdy feeling when holding it tells you it was well designed and put together.
VAPING TIME:
While the coils soak up the e-liquid i fiddle around with the options.
This pod has 3 different settings when it comes to using it:
-Just auto draw
-Just fire button
-Auto draw and fire button
To switch between modes just click 3 times the fire button (with the mod on) and you will see 2 little lights light on,that means you can auto draw and use the fire button.
If you press the fire button once more you can light up just one of the leds (led A on the left side) which means its on auto draw mode.
The light will blink to confirm your choice, same operation if you want to only use the fire button.
Press fire button 3 times, then fire again and the led on the right side will be on,wait for it to blink then voila you are only using the fire button to use the pod.
If you decide to go back to dual mode (auto draw and fire button) just press the fire button 3 times, click until all 2 leds are lit up,wait for the blinking to cofirm your choice.
Battery wise you have a led light located at the base of the pod,3 different colors to show you the current state of the battery:
-Green=100% to 60% battery
-Blue=60% to 30% battery
-Green=30% or less battery
Both coils the 0.80 ohm and 1..0 ohm have been absorbing the sweet nectar of the gods for a good 15 minutes so yeah let us huff and puff and see how it feels.
For this review i am using a Red Bull type aroma at a 50/50 proportion and 20mg nic salts.
Starting with the 1.0 ohm,i get a nice solid mtl hit not too warm but it does hit.
Flavor wise i am getting all the flavor i could ask for, since its nic salts and much higher dosage of nic that i am use to i take things slowly.
Used the 1.0 ohm coil during the morning and it did satisfy my vaping needs, granted i used it alongside my main sub-ohm tank set up but it was a pleasurable vape.
Afternoon i switched to the 0.8 coil,to be honest here i didn't notice that much of a difference, the vape was a tad warmer thou,i kinda enjoyed the 0.8 coil a bit more than the 1.0 ohm.
Still the same flavor and a pretty nice hit, used that coil all afternoon and all next morning as well.
I tried out both auto draw and the fire button and did not notice any change in performance, good job on that Aspire.
Some other brands struggle with auto draw and when you use it you do notice a slight lose of performance when compared to the good ol' fire button.
Did notice a couple of time a slight hiccup when using auto draw but after paying close attention that was a problem on my behalf,my inhaling wasn't up to the task of auto draw.
I don't normally use it in my day to day vaping so i had to focus a bit on making strong and consistent inhales,so that is on me not the pod.
Drip tip thou, bit small for my taste, again this is just a personal opinion but for me and my full bodied kissable Spanish lips it just felt a tad small.
Looked myself in the mirror and the way i had to pucker my lips to use the pod made me have nightmares at night...seriously,that is something you do not want to see.
PROS:
-Solid design and well built
-Good flavor and cloud production from the coils
-Easy refill system
-No wiggle waggle from the cartridge that has the mesh coils, magnets hold it firmly in place
-No leaking whatsoever
CONS:
-Personal taste, the drip tip way to thin and small for me
-Not much difference from the 0.8 ohm to the 1.0 ohm,the 0.1 ohm a tad hotter but that's about it.
WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS DEVICE:
Well it all depends on your needs.
But for a person new to vaping that needs a simple yet flawless working device then yes this is perfect to get you off the cigarettes.
For veteran vapers its also a nice device for those MTL vapers that sometimes just need something really small and portable without the hassles of a big mod with an RDA on top.
Somedays we are lazy so we just want to vape without any hassle or complications,in that sense this pod delivers all that and more.
Well that is it for today folks.
Thanks to my friends at Aspire for sending me this product so i could review it and thanks to everyone who took the time to read this review.
