Aspire k1 and bdc coils, kanger t3s problems

Hello everyone!
Im new to the vaping world and only started recently, i searched the web about vaping, and found this forum too!
So i got a few questions, so lets start =)
i own a Aspire k1 i recently bought it and i found it, mediocre, the vapor production was good, but the taste was muted.
So after a week and a half i noticed some light burned taste, and i thought it was time to buy new coils, and did so.
But i accidently ordered BDC coils, (yes yes silly me) and installed them and found that they are terrible on my k1, taste like plastic, silicon with a burning taste. No taste of flavor.
I am sure i did a mistake here, and im going to buy new BVC coils.
My question is, can i even use a BDC on a k1 tank ?
What other tank would you reccomend ( i like much vape and good flavor =) )
Now to the kanger t3s.
I loved this thing, when i first got it the flavor was awesome, the vape production too!, i bought a replacement coil right away.
So after 2 and a half weeks i replaced the coil , and the t3s turned, dull, plastic taste leaking gurgling, terrible. i have no idea what i did wrong, (i cleaned the tank installed the coil and let it soak for 10 ish minutes)
So could it just be the coil, maybe a bad one? (notice it was brand new and installed when the problems started)

Im using a kanger EVOD battery 1000 mah ego.

Thanks for reading, and sorry for typo-s :p

Welcome to the forums.

Aspire makes, I think, 4 different head types, the physical outside part of the heads. Inside the heads they do dual coils, one above the other at right angles to each other, and vertical coils, a single coil that goes up and down. For each combination they also make different resistances.

When you add other manufacturers, like Kanger, you add yet more outside physical types.

The first thing is easy. You have to pick a physical outside that will work with your atty. The heads Aspire makes for the nautilus will NOT work in their other tanks and ones for their other tanks will NOT work in the nautilus. If you get heads in a shop bring the atty with you and say you want heads for it, No problems at a good shop. If you get stuff online be careful to pick the right ones and if you are unsure drop a note to the site and say is the xxx head the one I need for my yyy tank. If they don't answer find a new online store, If the local shop isn't sure find another one of them.

Now you are in the world of personal preference and trade offs. You may like the taste of the newer heads, vertical coils have replaced dual coils which replaced single coils which replaced cartomisers which replaced God knows what, but they may cost more and not last as long. You may think the dual coils taste better. I can't taste the difference.

Now what resistance do you want? Again, it is a matter of taste. Some people like the higher resistance coils and some like the lower ones. Try them for yourself.

Some people pick a setup and are happy to stick with it. Some keep looking for the perfect setup. It is up to you.

I have seen people who have vaped for years perfectly happy they no longer smoke and use a simple EGO battery with a disposable clearomiser. It works. Its easy.

I have seen people who have vaped a month and have rebuildables and drippers mechanical and regulated mods. They are waiting for the new zzz to arrive. Once they find the perfect coil with the perfect wick for their aaa tank it is time to start all over with the bbb tank. They don't smoke and they have a new hobby.

The bottom line is that you will, unfortunately, have to experiment to find what you like.

Hi, I'm a noob myself, but I found a good tip in these forums. I'm using Kanger T3S tanks on my eGo-T, when my juice starts getting low in my tank, I empty it, then put my coil in the coffee pot and brew a whole pot of pure water over it. Then I let the coil dry for a day or so, then put it back together and refill the tank. It got rid of the burnt taste for me, maybe you should give that a shot. I've been vaping heavily for over 2 weeks on 2 tanks, and haven't had to replace the coils yet. Hope this helps.
