Aspire Nautilus BDC

Bought an aspire nautilus bdc yesterday (planning on buying bvc coils). Included was 1.8 and 1.6 ohm coils, however these both read as 1.1 and 1.0 ohm on my MVP 2 and SVD 2. Any idea why this might be?

Are they the coils that came in the box? Are they genuine?

They came inside the aspire box with the tank, as far as I can tell they're genuine. The local store I bought from is very reputable.

Did you check the scratch code on the packaging?

My Nautilus BDC coils read as they should on my MVP20W.

I'm at work at the moment so will check the code when I get home. I paid good money for it so here's hoping.

I'd make sure the coil is tightened properly and to check to make sure the chimney is not saturated in liquid to create a false reading. I used BDC and have since upgraded to the BVC coils (1.6ohm) and I love my Nautilus. Best tank I've ever used and use it daily of course.

Turns it isn't genuine, heading into the shop today.
