Yes kayfun is a excellent choice and a easy build. Exceptional flavor and great vapor. You will never look back. It's like night and day. Taking a hit off my kayfun is like eating a candy, it's that good! I like you, got fed up with tanks that leaked, coils that burned out so fast, dry hits, and gurgling! I learned how to build and never looked back. You tube has some really great step by step tutorials on building and wicking the kayfun. I suggest you watch several. It will help a lot! I say go for the kayfun! You won't be disapointed! Sounds like your ready to take the next step. It's fun too. You won't regret it for a second!!

I'm not in a position to be a dripper either. That's why at least for me the Kangertech Mega is the best option I've found yet....

A Kayfun isn't a dripper. It has the flavor of dripping, but it's a tank.

The major difference is you build your own coils and wicks. It's REALLY easy to do, only takes about 10 minutes for me to remove an old coil and build and install a new one. Coils are made from Kanthal Wire which you can buy 100 feet for around $10. You'll only use aboug 4-6 inches of wire per coil, so that's at least 200 coils for $10. For wick I just use cotton, and $5 will buy you enough cotton to last for years.

The idea of moving into an RBA like a Kayfun can be a bit intimidating at first, but it's actually really easy and once built works better than any retail clearo that I've found. Better flavor and better vapor. I used to think my Aerotank had really good flavor, and now I don't use it at all because compared to my Kayfuns it has no flavor at all.

Considering you can buy high quality Kayfun clones (Hcigar and EHpro) for less than $40, it's really hard for me to justify something like the Nautilus or Aerotank Mega.

Kayfun is to rba's what aerotank mega is to clearos IMO, just depends if you want something that is completely hassle free (aerotank mega) that comes with the cost of replacing coils, or something that comes with the learning curve of coil building and wicking (VERY rewarding if you get the hang of it, HELL if you don't), but costs virtually nothing ongoing other then the liquid.

I've got the mega with a 1ohm coil now and i had a kayfun lite, and the flavours about even if not slightly better on the kayfun, but i get a little more clouds from the mega, just my opinion/experience.

Keep in mind everyone (including me indadvertedly) will be biased towards their own preference, so the best thing to do would be to read up on all the devices suggested and go for whichever sounds like its best for you. Everyones suggested good ideas and devices from what i've read, so its just down to whatever works for you

Thanks for clarifying. I can see the financial advantage of RBA, but for me I prefer the ease of just putting in a new coil when needed.

hey rbrylawski , I see Tampa.. Im st pete / largo.. tomorrow, 7/15.. Im going to see a buddy that works at a store.. "purely vapor" at 4327 w kennedy in tampa.. to talk about stuff.. and maybe RBA... if your available.. come say hi..

Hey thanks for the invite, but tomorrow's out for me. I've been meaning to stop by that store. I've bought all my stuff from Tampa Vapor on Dale Mabry. They've got a great store and just doubled their space.

If you have time, they're not far from purely vapor and it might be good if you could compare the two.
