Hi all,

First I'd like to say thank you to everybody on the Forum that advised me to get the MVP 2.0 and the Aspire Nautilus Mini. What an amazing combination. My vaping experience is fantastic! :D

A quick question to Nautilus Mini owners:

When you are changing eliquid flavour, do you do any cleaning to the coil itself or do you just clean the tank and surrounding components? If you do clean the coil, how do you do it?

Hey Axxio
Glad the setup is working!
I have three Nautilus minis. When I change the flavor I'll wash the tank, top piece and mouthpiece. Use a Qtip to clean inside the top cap's mouthpiece hole and the tube that connects to the coil.

If I'm using a complimentary flavor (tobacco to tobacco, dessert to fruit, coffee to tobacco) I won't change coils. The new flavor will take over the old flavor in the coil pretty quickly. If the flavors don't normally like each other I'll change to a new/cleaned up coil (don't follow Green Tea with Chocolate/Clementine...believe me!)

If I'm not changing the coil I'll use a Qtip to clean the inside of the tube top of the coil and sometimes unscrew the coil from the base, and run a Qtip around the hole where it was sitting. You'll see the remnants of the old juice on the Qtip.

Different folks clean different ways. I take the coil and soak it in water overnight and then let it dry for a couple of days. Some that I've done this to I'll get and extra 4-5 days out of then they're pretty well shot for the third time or I've gotten lazy and just put a new one in.

Check out this ongoing thread for other BVC/Nautlilus questions you might have. A lot of experience, testing, length of use, cleaning methods etc.

I would not recommend it. If you refer to the Rip Trippers video review on the Nautilus Mini he said that the ceramic wick that is used in the coil is very delicate and will crumble if you are not careful. I would just say cleaning the pyrex tank, airflow cylinder, and battery conection would be sufficient. By the way if you like the MVP v2.0 on the Nautilus mini, when your vape budget gets a little bigger try investing in a DNA30 clone- You will love it!
Hope this helps

Thanks very much for this response. The complimentary flavour thing makes sense, though I hadn't thought of it before. I've come to find that Qtips are very handy if not essential in the world of vaping!

I've seen that video thats why I was wondering what people did to clean it :p

When you say DNA 30 clone what does that mean? Do you mean a Vapor Shark DNA 30?
