So I picked up a Nautilus second hand. The guy before me apparently used heavy tobacco flavored juices because I cannot for the life of me get that sucker's flavor/smell out of the tank. I'm about to let it have an alcohol soak for a bit to see if it will pull it out. It also seems that the airflow control ring has lost it's clicky lock-ness. It's free spinning after about 30 mins of use.

Any ideas on how to clean this sucker out besides more soap and water baths and how to fix the ring? Or is there a place anyone knows of where I can snag a new base?

FWIW, I snagged this tank for $20 and it came with all original parts, extra glass tank and extra SS sleeve, and two extra coils. I couldn't pass on it. Just can't stand the flavor/odor from that base.

I get a funny taste from my nautilus tank, but mine was brand new. It's a weird taste, but the box it came in smells similar. I washed it with dawn dish soap and soaked it in vodka, which seemed to help. I also filled it a little with the juice I planned on using and let it sit for a day or two and then rinsed it out again before finally using it. I figured letting the juice sit it there might let the flavor "soak in" so to speak.
