So any idea what makes the Nautilus so much better than other tanks? Any experience with it?
It's amazing man, I usually vape on my trident dripper and itaste 134 mod so I know what it means to chuck the vapor. But recently I decided to experiment with a "cost efficient rig", so I bought the variable voltage vamo v5 mod, and slapped the nautilus on her. And to be honest I love it more than my nearly 400$ setup! The nautilus (not ....ting) vapes like a high quality dripper, that REFILLS ITSELF. It's what I use most of the time at home, and especially when I'm driving or out with friends. Compared to other crapomizers, it's the bees knees, I've literally never had a gurgling problem, a dry hit (granted I keep the massive 5ml tank above 1/4), or any other pain in the ... problem other tanks have. I'd say my only gripes with it are 1. It's made of pyrex glass, so if you find yourself dropping yours or knocking it over in the middle of the night, you may only enjoy it for a month or two, however the glass is really thick, I've dropped it onto cement from waist height and there wasnt a scratch, but I can see it hitting a corner just right or something like that (they do have a stainless tank replacement on ebay though :) ). and 2. It kicks so much ... I've gotten nicotine headaches, however that may be a pro to some :p. Like everyone else is saying though, the adjustable airflow is the best part; I find myself changing it every few minutes because I simply want a different type of hit every now and then, and although I've never had gurgling, this adjustment allows you to open that sucker wide open and turn up the voltage (if you want) and vape that extra juice right out. If you've ever had that "I wish I could make this thing hit harder" feeling, then this one's for you. The craftsmanship on this is beautiful too, it's like a piece of science equipment, how the flawless pyrex has a bell curve to it, the massive silicon drip protector, and the way the actual cartomizer is placed, it holds the fluid level RIGHT at the coils, I swear you probably* don't even need cotton wicks in this puppy. It's a purdy ..... that puts out! :D I think it'll be quite some time before aspire is outdone on this glassomizer bdc tank.

I would think it has to do with the coil design. The aspire bdc's are also very popular and have been said to work better than other clearomizers, so apparently Aspire has found a way to make better performing coil heads than the competition at this time. Things change often in the ecig arena though. Personally, I switched to the Aspire bdc's and have bought 2 Aspire Nautilus tanks and I use them all the time. They have worked flawlessly for me and provide good vapor and good flavor. This is just my experience and my opinion and hopefully some others will post on this too so you can get other viewpoints.

Regarding dual coil clearomizers, it's been my experience, and I don't have much, that they appear to suck up a lot more juice than a single coil clearomizers. Is this my imagination or do others experience the same phenomena?

I have only tried one flavor in my Nautilus tank but the smaller aspires that use the BDC seem to have better taste to me.
I was curious what voltage setting you folks are using or wattage setting. Thanks for any responses !
Hey brother I own both an aspire ET-S and the nautilus, and I have to say on all the airflow settings other than the smallest, the flavor is much more potent and cleaner tasting, I remember thinking "wow, I don't taste anything but the juice". I find with both my Aspires 8.61 watts (yeah I know specific) is the perfect sweet spot. On the stock 1.6 coil that's pre-installed on the nautilus, I found 3.3 to be magical. And later when I replaced it with the 1.8 ohm coil, 3.5 was perfect. I swear .1 volt less and you saw (slightly) less vapor, and .1 more it had a "warmer" taste to it, not burnt by far, but I could tell the flavor was being changed by the heat. Hope this helped man! :D

The coils in the nautilus come at 1.6 or 1.8 ohms stock. The airflow control makes for a better taste and more vapor. The tank also holds 5 ml.

I have aerotanks. 2 of them. They work very well. I'm not sure if getting a nautilus would really change anything for me, but they are supposed to be better.
Oh man, I've used the aerotank and to be honest it's pretty similar, however I'd occasionally get that annoying gurgle, even when I'd change the airflow to vape it out, I noticed when It gets close to the drip hole it would gurgle the most. Not a big deal at all, I'm definitely a kanger fan, however I gotta say the aspire crew are scientists in the carto-tank world, there's just a "clean" and "idiot-proof" (lol) nature about them. It's like mercedes compared to dodge (nothing against dodge, relax, I've never owned one, just hear aquaintances and their problems)

This did help a whole lot !!! I had been running at 7 watts and playing with voltage. I cranked my Itaste MVP2 up to 8.5 watts at 3.3 on the voltage and boom ..... great bubblegum/watermelon taste. Thank you so much !!!
I run my smaller Aspires at a lower wattage. Usually around 7 watts. I have used both the 1.8 ohm and 2.1 ohm atomizers. I adjust the voltage sometimes based on the flavor I am vaping. Would you mind sharing your setting on the smaller Aspires as well ?
Thanks again. Just been vaping for about a month full time now. Any help is much appreciated. By the way for now I use the Itaste VV3 and the MVP2. The Nautilus seems to have a "cleaner" taste to it. I wonder if it all boils down to the fact that the Nautilus atomizers do not have any silicone in them that I can see. The smaller atomizers for the Aspires look to have a small silicone ring on top.
Thanks again :)

I think the Nautilus is terrific. The only issue I have with it is the soaking time needed on a new head seems rather long to me and I have to really work the head awhile before it's performing well.

Other than that, it's great. It's not Kayfun micro-coil great, but it's head and shoulders better than the Protanks and the like.

The dual coil set up in the head helps, also the AFC is great too! I also think the bell set for the chimney over the coil head helps a lot too, not unlike the Kayfun design with that.

I have found this to be true as well as far as the soaking time. I fill mine up and clean it and change the atomizer and I use another device for atleast an hour then kind of do primer puffs until it gets going good. Seems to get better and better with use unlike most other atomizers.

I bet you vaping Guru's could rework the coils and wicking material in these and have one hell of a set up. I am ignorant on such things. I gave up quick on the single coil Kanger's and ended up using the Aspire BDC. I have read a bunch of threads about people making their own. I can see why ! We need to sick those folks on the new Aspire atomizers and see what becomes of that. Between Arthritis and a case of can't see worth a crap I doubt I will venture to far into it ...

This SS tank on ebay doesn't look bad, it would be great to have on hand for times when your gonna be out or for someone that works in construction etc. However, not knowing my juice level drives me nuts. I would like to see them make some sort of SS cage like design with some cut outs to fit over the glass tank. I think that would be awesome!
Edit: I really love the Nautilus....i just ordered my second one. My wife & I mainly use RBA/RDA's but we like to take a fill & go type tank out with us as a back up.... And the nautilus just can't be beat IMHO. It has the best flavor, and it's the most dependable of any other fill & go tank on the market. Granted its not my kayfun.... But it's definitely the top of the line aside from a Rebuildable! Aero, Protank, vivi nova's....etc just don't come close. Yeah, it's a little more expensive, but absolutely worth every penny IMO. $12 or $13 more is not that big of a jump for a much much better vape!

I agree with the glass window idea. (Kinda Kayfun looking), however, I have found (with my vaping style) that on my provari, an 18650, from full charge to blinking "charge me" button, leaves me about a half ml in the Nautilus. (Same with 2 18490s)... so not seeing it wouldn't be so bad, knowing my battery will run out of juice before my tank does.

The tank is awesome. But, from my experiences here's what happened:

1. Coils last for about a week before one pops. They cost like $5 each -- not sure if that's a good thing yet. I'll give it a 7/10
2. The silicone base at the bottom of the tank absorbs flavor. This isn't a good thing if you want to vape tobacco one day and something fruity the next day, like me.
3. I noticed the juice leaks out of the air holes and it gets a little sloppy. At times the holes get gunked up and you have to get in there with a pin, or blow into it to clear them out.

Other than that this tank is awesome! I love the look and the design. It's good for the price and a no-brainer to buy in you're looking into it.

I have both the Nautilus and the Aerotank and I must admit I like the Aerotank more. The Size being one reason But I also think the airflow control is better on the Aerotank. The Nautilus leaks at times for me and the Aerotank hasn't leaked once. Flavor wise they are both great and I enjoy vaping them both. The Nautilus is still amazing but I prefer the Aerotank and find it to be the much better value.

Bought the Nautilus today after having the Aerotank for about a month just to compare.
The only thing that I like about the Nautilus is the tank capacity, but that's it. I had trouble with both stock coils (1,6 and 1,8). The first one gave me a burnt taste after 2-3 minutes of vaping (really warm vape) and the second one only worked if I removed the cap and readjusting it. Overall I don't see a HUGE difference in the taste or vapor to justify the cost of the Nautilus.
I used Halo Tribeca on both tanks, both at 1,8 coils at 8.5 watts on my MVP 2. The Aerotank won with ease. Better flavor, better looking, better airflow (yes I said it) and I didn't have a single problem with them.

That was my personal opinion anyway...
