Would anyone care to share what wattage/ voltage settings they are using with the smaller Aspires. !.8 and 2.1 ohm :)

With the 1.5, 1.8 or 2.1 ohm I'm using from 8 watts to 12 watts depending on the juice taste. This is on a Vamo 5, Lambo 6 or a Nemesis mech with a Kick2. It pretty much is depending on my taste from the juice as some taste a bit better cooler while some taste better warmer. As for voltage I've not run them on any of these devices in that mode but did on the ego style spinners at about 3.7 to 4 volts.

Man this site has a wealth of information on it. I just read several threads and realize now that I have been running my wattage to low. I was trying to use voltage with too many different kind of juices, constantly changing it. i read up on a BUNCH of threads and tried my clearomizers with wattage of 7.5 to 8.5 and it made a huge difference. I thought that would be more like to burn my atomizers out quicker. But instead I'm now getting much better flavor. Thanks to all the people that make it possible for folks like me to learn so much in such a short time !!!

Please remember that a 1.8Ω DC atomizer consists of two 3.6Ω coils configured in parallel, which means that they really need more voltage/wattage thrown at them to perform well.

My recommendation is always to increase the wattage by at least 50%, that is, if your sweet spot with the single coils is 6 watts, start at 9 watts if you're using a dual coil atty. Same goes for voltage--you'll just have to do the math yourself. While doing your math, remember that you're dealing with a 3.6Ω coil--not 1.8Ω.

If you want to change juice without changing out the atomizer, how are you all doing it? With the Kanger atomizers you can take them the top off, take the flavor wick off, rinse it, rinse the coil, let it dry, then dry burn. It doesn't seem like you can easily dry burn the aspire coils?

Anyone? How are you dry burning the Nautilus coils?

The thing is that you can't, because you have to remove the coil to do that. I recently managed to put a microcoil+cotton in there, but I can't find a way to replace the cotton without taking the whole coil out.
Also, you shouldn't dry burn these, you are risking burning the ceramic thingy that separates your wicks. That can lead to a very unpleasant experience, trust me :p

Elite Vaporworks has them in stock at 32.95. Elite Vaporworks Aspire Nautilus Tank System
Just bought one from a b&m store they run. They also have the Vape Only branded Vivi Nova-s (glass tanks with aluminum shield). Only difference in the Vape Only and regular nova-s is the colors they come in, but nice to have that variety. They sadly are out of stock on the replacement glass tanks, but do have a stainless version. One quick word of caution on the Nautilus, it is pretty easy to over tighten the tank and crack the glass. When you unscrew the base sometimes the coil remains seated in the airflow chimney (since the coild head is what holds the base on). If this happens DO NOT attempt to simply screw the base back onto the coil head, like I did, as you can't feel how tight you are getting until it is too late. Remove the coil, screw it back into the base, and proceed as normal. Other than that, the Nautilus is hands down the best vaping experience I have had.

About 10 days ago I bit the bullet and slurged on a Kanger Aerotank _and_ a Nautilus. So far the Kanger seems to give me a more uniform taste along a vaping session than the Nautilus which starts tasting burned and then improves to a great taste and vapor volume; even tho the apparent build quality of the latter is noticeably better.

I like them both a lot but the Kanger at 2 Ω seems to handle heavier/darker juices better than the Nautilus with the original factory installed 1.6 Ω coils --actually3.2 Ω- which kind of chokes on NET's and dark juices. As mentioned, the Nautilus improves noticeably after puffin on it a few minutes.

My greatest gripe with the Nautilus is that I cannot get rid of an obnoxious gurgling, rather like an ember crackling on a fireplace. I've tried opening the air flow to the max and cold sucking on it several times with mixed results; sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Does anyone has experienced the same and can offer advice on how to solve this?

I'm usually running it at 7.0~7.8W on a Joyetech eVic. Does that sound right to you or should I lower/boost the power? Do you think I should switch the head for the 1.8 Ω?

Most people start at about 8 watts with both tanks and work their way up from there.

I don't own a Nautilus (yet) but I have recently purchased an Aerotank to compare with the iClear 30S that I already have. I'm finding that right about 8.75 watts is good for me. Any higher and it looses too much flavor. 8.5 8.75 watts tastes really good though.

As for the iClear comparison.... I still think the 30S tastes a little better, but I dislike the plastic tanks and I find that for some reason the iClear starts tasting really burnt at about 7 watts. It tastes great at 6.25-6.5 watts, but is a little lacking in vapor production at that low power.

Sorry for the late comeback to the thread. I'm still battling with the forum software which doesn't warns me when somebody replies to a post of mine.

Thanks for the suggestion to go higher on the watts with the Aerotank. I did it just now with a juice of my own concoction and it improved a lot. OTOH, the last one I was vaping there started to taste burned at anything over 7W. The present one however is quite thin and a bit harsh on the ower range. I started it at 7.5W but boosted my eVic to 8.5 and it's starting to behave; much of the flavor just started to be noticeable. Many thanks!

Update:

Doing 9.5 now. It's draining the battery like a big V8 does a gas tank but I'm getting the juice's flavors fully. I guess I should start labeling them with recos on hardware and wattage. :)

I've been using the Nautilus for three days now with the installed 1.6 ohm atty; have run 3 tanks and so far no issues. I've been vaping it at about 11 watts on the 1.4mm airhole without any dry hits or gurgling. I've gone up to 15, but dry hits start appearing if you do too many back-to-backs -- but 11 - 12 watts seems to be no problem.

Still love my RBAs and RDAs, but sometimes you just want an easy plug and play vape, and the Nautilus does the trick for me.

Cool - thanks!

I was hoping they were, as I love the features/design of the Nautilus, not to mention having read the opinions of so many Nautilus owners saying it's great. I'll also want to start building my own coils soon after I get one so I can save some money buying wire and wick material rather than buying expensive coil packs. (I already have a nice Amprobe multi-meter that I'll put to good use.)

Using a Ohms law app, at 1.6ohms and 3.7V, you should be at 8.55W.

1.8ohms and 3.7V will be 7.61W. Now I am very new at this, this is using an app on my phone.
