Just got my first nautilus yesterday. Wow! I'm pretty new to vaping and have been buying a lot of stuff to try. At first I loved the PT3, still think its a pretty good clearo. But eventually it leaked and flooded. works well right after a rewick and recoil. This Nautilus so far is the best thing I've ever tried. I have a couple Aspire BDCs and tried to rebuild the coils. I guess it can be done, but I was not successful at even trying to get one coil working in there. I dont think I will even attempt it with the Nautilus coil. My MOD is out of service right now and have only tried it on a spinner. It will look much better on the MOD.

I have a Kanger Aerotank and it is awesome...no leaking issues so far. Would love to try the Aspire Nautilus.

I own a Nautilus and Aerotank, The nautilus holds more juice then the aerotank, flavor is the somewhat the same between the 2, vapor is also somewhat the same with both, But however the coils on the Nautilus seems to burn quick, Its a nice tank other then the short coil life ..But if i was to suggest a choosing of the 2, i would suggest the Kanger Aerotank, It compares greatly to the Nautilus with flavor and Vapor, But at lesser price, and it doesnt burn the coils as fast..Good Luck

I own a couple of each and yea, they both have leaked a little bit. contrary to what some say the design of the Aerotank air flow control is superior to the nautalis. just looking at it proves the point.
the nautalis forces you to choose one airhole of choice with no in between setting, the Aerotank allows for a very very wide array of settings.
bottom line, they are both great tanks the naughty holds a lot more juice than the aero

I'm really liking my Nautilus tanks, but I'm keeping my guard up. As long as the replacement coils are as good as the ones that came with the tank I'll be happy for a very long time.

Love the tank, but so far, the replacement coils are not holding up like the ones that came with the tank. I used the originals for weeks. The replacements are lasting me about a week or about a tank worth.

The bottom got stuck on my Nautilus and I broke the tank trying to twist it off using a silicone mitt. Ordered a replacement unit - it's a good clearo - just don't overtighten the bottom - something to be aware of.

I did the same thing. Gotta be gentle with the glass.

Aspire and Kanger both really stepped up with their new clearos. They both address a lot of issues you seem to find in other models. They are just designed and built well

I finally narrowed the Nautilus issues to 2 culprits; deffective heads and vaping style. The first is easily solved, albeit at a cost. The second is to realize that this atomizer demands certain attention.

This tank doesn't like airy draws; it just doesn't produce vapor nor taste. The best settings are the first and second orifices (from small to large). It doesn't either like to be left overnight on the side with the vents open; it leaks to the base and seeps through the holes. The solution is to move the ring so all the vents are closed, or place it in vertical position in a mod holder.

The 1.8 heads last longer and if you have a decent mod, they can give an equal amount of vapor. It seems to me they give even better flavor and are les prone to clog.

The head must be cleaned regularly. An overnight bath in Everclear or >95° ethil alcohol will loosen the carbon cake. Then, a careful repeated dry burning until you get an even red coil will convert all the crust to ashes. A second vigorous wash in alcohol will remove them from the head. Involved but beats throwing them in the trash can.

When the atty starts gurgling, a pipe cleaner through the chimney and then through the largest vent will remove most of the juice excess.

The other part of the equation is great tasting vapor that goes on for hours.

@nickgv kayfun 3.1 is better IMO. You can get a real one for about 100 bucks or a clone for around 60. I know madvapes has an ehpro clone for about that. But you have to recoil and wick it but kanthal wire and organic cotton or silica wick is a lot cheaper than buying new heads 4-7 days.

One negative, is that it is very hards to unscrew botttom section. But in saying that, the thing does not leak.

The coils honestly last about 2-3 days before I start getting a ton of off flavor. They will work for about a week but the flavor and quality of vapor degrades significantly after about day 2. You start having periods of burnt taste and muted flavor. I use a Innokin SVD and the 1.6 ohm heads set at around 7 watts or 4 volts. I have tried both. The first head I used a played with the settings a lot an went as high as 10W before it started tasting funny and I backed down and went up to 5V but then backed it down and settled on either 7W or 4V. I am using a 30PG/70VG blend. The first head lasted a week but the last day was painful and realized after I finally changed the head that I should have changed it a while back. The second head lasted 2.5 days before I noticed a significant change in flavor. As the heads loose integrity the draw gets more and more rattley. On a new set of heads the draw is very smooth and almost silent. As the heads get more and more dirty I can feel and hear then liquid running and vaporizing in the coil. And I have to work the atomizer to get it to wick properly and to get a decent flavorful hit. Towards day 6 you get a lot of pops and sputters. At first I thought this was because I let my juice fall below 2ML and when I tipped the mod to vape the bottom part of the ticket was completely covered and I was pulling air but now I think it's the atty struggling to wick the juice. I took my second head out last nigh when I change flavors after only 4.5 days. I looked at it and all the inner sleeve and wicks are pretty gummed up and black and misshapen. I am trying the 1.8 head that came with it now. I probably only vape about 3-4ml of juice a day so right about 2 tankfuls of 30/70 is where the head starts dying. The thing is a dream once you break it in up until the end of tank 2 and then it very high maintenance. I haven't tried cleaning them but I will but I am doubtful that cleaning them will return them to the sweet spot of days 1 and 2 but will just prolong my time of dissatisfaction. As soon as my Kanthal gets here I am going to try Rip Trippers rebuild on a couple heads as well but I also have a Kaifun Lite Clone that already provides equal clouds and a better flavor than the Nautilus (they are damn close) that seems infinitely easier to rebuild. On the Kaifun either the manufacturer or whomever sold it to my vape shop built a coil for it and it has been outstanding. But it's just a 5-6 wrap around silica wick. I can't wait to put a good micro coil with organic cotton in it.

At 28-40 dollars for the initial set and 2-5 dollars a head and needing to swap heads every 2-3 days it's a really expensive vape. Average price of the thank is 34 and 3.50 for heads. So by the end of week to assuming you try both heads in week 1 you will drop 40-55 bucks. Enough cash to buy a decent cloned rebuildable. By the end of month 1 you have probably spent enough to by a rebuildable tank mod from the actual designer/manufacturer. Once the next big thing comes out and the price drops to 20-25 for the tank and a buck a head like the kanger protanks are now then it is an awesome no muss no fuss backup tank. Hopefully Aspire will start making them in stainless and glass like their BDC so they are a bit more durable.

be careful with the stainless steel tank, they have changed the nautilus threads at the top on the newest batch, the stainless cover will only thread 2 turns on the v2

I really want to try this tank, but I don't want to pay that much for the heads. Has anyone figured out a way to rebuild them yet?
