The coils in the nautilus come at 1.6 or 1.8 ohms stock. The airflow control makes for a better taste and more vapor. The tank also holds 5 ml.

I have aerotanks. 2 of them. They work very well. I'm not sure if getting a nautilus would really change anything for me, but they are supposed to be better.

In my experience (I have both tanks) the Aerotank is better. I personally don't like the Nautilus. I don't like the look, I don't like the airflow (Aerotank has more precise control), I don't like the flavor and I don't like the vapor production.

I fell for the hype, and very much regret it...

Another vote for the Nautilus. I've been using mine almost exclusively for about 6 weeks at 11 volts with NO problems--no dry hits, gurgling, leaks, etc. In my experience the coils seem to last indefinitely, but I've decided to replace mine after a week as the flavor does decline. If you like your nic, you'll really feel a difference with this tank. Highly recommended. BTW, I understand there are really a lot of knock-offs of this product going around, so this could one reason some have been disappointed.

+1 What Moedog said. I've had a great experience with this tank. I own two, and both have worked flawlessly. Highly recommended!

OK guys, I tried a different approach tonight. I had a disassembled Nautilus head that I had ruined trying to rebuild it. I took a 2.4 mm drill bit, placed it on my Dremel tool and ported the top part of the head using two oopposite holes as guides. Just two of them. Then did a 1.6Ω coil (9 turns, 2.4mm form. 28AWG Kanthal) with long leads. Aligned it with the hole and using a doubled over wire, passed two double wicks of 1mm silica (4x1mm wicks total) through the enlarged holes and coil. After that, I threaded the coil leads through the bottom part of the head, aligned it's notches with the wicks and pressed it in. Finished the assembly (rubber grommet, pin) and trimmed the excess wires and wicks, the latter flush with the flange (about 2mm out of the tube). It's wicking just fine and producing huge clouds at 10W. I think the 2.4 ports are a bit of overkill tho. Next I'll try with a 2mm ⊘ coil. Didn't take pics as I went but will do next time.

Now, time to hit the sack!

PS, I ordered a Kayfun 3.1 clone wich should be here in the following weeks. I hope it really performs as touted. In the meanwhile, my Aerotank is working beautifully. :2c:

Kayfun clone is my go to at the moment and I have been using the Nautilus as a backup and I have a aspire BDC backing up that. I miss the warm hit off the nautilus and the BDC but that can be adjusted on the kayfun. And its built like a Tank; it's solid stainless except for a the juice viewing window which can be changed to stainless or glass. My Kanthal is being delivered today. Microcoil and cotton driven clouds of vapor... I can't wait. And I am going to try Rip Trippers rebuild on the Nautilus. You should have been able to disassemble the nautilus without drilling out the base. The bottom pin should pull right out and the runner gasket at the bottom should come out as well and you should be able to pull the coils out the top. The wires are held in place by the pin and gasket at the bottom. Be careful not to tear or disturb the inner cup of wicking material. Build your Microcoil and place it so the wick touches the top notches of the inner cup. The wick is very short with maybe a mm or 2 extending out each side of the coil. Feed your leads down through the body of the head and have one lead on the inside of the gasket and one on the outside of the gasket. Reassemble and make sure the coil and wick are still in the top notch of the wicking cup. Trim your wires. Rip cautioned about dry firing the coil because you risk melting the bottom gasket and burning the wicking cup and the tiny piece of wick through the coils. I think I am going to practice on the kayfun before I even think about attempting it on the nautilus.

Regarding dual coil clearomizers, it's been my experience, and I don't have much, that they appear to suck up a lot more juice than a single coil clearomizers. Is this my imagination or do others experience the same phenomena?

Between my Nautilus and my smok pyrex SC clearo, I would say I go through juice faster with the smok than the nautilus.

I am using a vamo v5, (my only mod/battery/W.E.) and depending on the flavor between 6 and 9 watts.

The nautilus seems to produce better flavor at a bit lower wattage than the smok, and the smok seems to have more problems with my usage pattern than the nautilus. I get more gurgles from the smoke, very very few from the nautilus.

There is no 'new' version. It's just an optional tank. The thing about the Nautilus is you will see varying degrees of satisfaction or dis. Tek was giving many situations that I haven't gone through. This might be an oxymoron but, I'm fairly convinced it first depends on usage and second your device and battery? I feel I have to tone down my hits as far as how hard and long I draw. It seems that the heads don't like firing up full blast for any length of time. I feel it"s important to know what devices I used them on although, I haven't narrowed it down to which device does better. Probably my itaste vv! But, I also use Nautilus on my Provari at around 3.8 volts, same on eVic, MVP2. I have a Chi, Poldiac and Hammer clones, of course.
I probably should do preventive maintenance, rather than wait til I taste the burn. Seems short, 'normal' puffs are better than the Cheech and Chong hits I've been taking.

Looks like the Kanger Aerotank Mega that's about to be released may dethrone the Nautilus, which despite its issues IMO is the best clearomizer I have used especially with a fresh coil.

And there's a part 2 to Phil's review that addresses some of his concerns in the original.

I have both the Nautilus as well as Aerotanks. I find that I get less dry hits with the Nautilus when I'm chain vaping. Also I like that it is easier to fill the Nautilus without needing a small tip on my juice to keep it from going down the air hole by accident. Both are good products but I have been very happy with the Nautilus and that is my daily go to tank.

Good find! Even with shipping its $9 cheaper for 2 of them than my local shop.

edit: Looks like theyve got the tank on sale too for $27.95! Killer deal-http://www.worldofvape.com/aspire-nautilus/

Woot! Been on the fence about getting an Aspire Nautilus. Even with shipping, it still comes out cheaper than I've found elsewhere.

I'm hoping to get a Nautilus soon! Either that or a Protank III with an air-flow controller. I don't know much about it, but I definitely understand that the air flow control helps a LOT.

you can buy an air flow controller to use in the tanks that you already have:
