Well, my beautifully washed and cleaned BVC one got used again a few hours ago - not brilliant!
It works, albeit with a slightly tighter draw, but the flavour is a bit fusty just as it gets when the coil is nearing the need to change. I increased to 9watts (unusual for me) but it only improved slightly.

I'm using my mini nautilus for the Mint Choc Vapetto which I use a lot, so didn't expect the coils to last too long. It seems to be 5 days with the BVC.
Think it'll be a new one tomorrow - looking forward to it too! :)

The mini Nautilus I put Citrus flavour(s) in has now got on to 10 days. I took the custard one out after 7 days. :)

(it got soaked in Vodka... the smell is devine...) :)

I think the Mint Chocolate one must be a rather 'gunky' one ..I've had worse though.

I'd rinsed mine in warm running water and then soaked it with a very mild detergent before rinsing again and then soaking for 24 hours in vodka, then under a running tap and soaking in clean water for a few hours. I could see through the side holes that the inner material sleeve was white again! Then cleaned the mesh with a cotton bud.
I expected it to behave like new, but sadly it didn't.

Personally, I don't like vodka one bit .....nice glass of merlot is more to my liking now and then :)

I feared that might be the case. All very well the filler being all white - if the coil is gunked, not a lot improves that in all honesty.

(reminds me of people who rinsed/washed cartomizers... never really worked for 99% of people.)

Never mind, I'll probably be reluctant to try cleaning one again, and I don't know that it would be worth messing around rinsing it every couple of days either.
It's still a lot cheaper than smoking, and the mini Nautilus with the BVC coil is rather good.

Talking of citrus: I have a mini Protank2 that I use for 'Posset' (a lemon cream flavour) and although I haven't counted days, the standard Kanger coil in that lasts very well. So, it's all roundabouts and swings I suppose :)

OK - so i've been using the nautilus with a BVC head in since yesterday and there is a world of difference in how it's vaping now and how it was vaping with the BDC heads. I cant remember where i bought the nautilus from originally, but it was a good UK vendor - could have been C9V (all i can remember is that it was not myepack or vape escape). Anyhow, i did get a pack of BDC heads from myepack and as i said earlier in the thread the tank and the heads were checked and are authentic.

I must have just got really unlucky and got some poor heads with the tank, then another pack of poor heads later. Anyway, i will not be buying any more BDC heads and whilst i am glad that i can now use the nautilus and it vapes well, im still a bit ...... at the fact that it's been practically unuseable until i put the BVC head in it.

Glad to hear you finally have something you're happy with!

Shame it cost you so much in coils to get there though! The ones I've used/am using are those that came with the Nautilus and a pack I got for £1.80 per coil.
I've ordered some from FastTech so I'll see how they work out when they arrive!

I hope the FT heads work out well - let me know and i might get myself a few if they are ok. I've been put off getting replacement heads from FT though - had too many which just didnt work properly and some were a really poor fit too.

As you'll have seen on the FT thread, they are BDC ...I'm pretty sure. Look the same, are definitely Aspire, but looking down the chimney, I can see the 'stuffing' fabric/material instead of just mesh as on BVC.
I think FT had the wrong description on them initially, and that's why the same part numbers no longer resolve to a specific page for the coils. For around $7/5 I'm not going to complain. Just hope they work OK ...leaking is one thing I hate.

Don't worry about getting any other coils from FT though - I've had the standard single coil Kanger ones a number of times and they're OK. I also have the ones for the Aerotank/MOW/PT£ etc. (V2 type) and they're fine too.

I'll keep watching for the BVC on there - right now, best prices are £1.80 each at myEpack, and from a decent Ebay seller that has genuine scratch card positive items and free delivery.

OK, decided not to try the BVC's and would never waste any more money on the BDC's so went for a couple of re-buildable coil kits from http://vapenquit.co.uk Out of 14 coils we had, 2 lasted about a week and the others lasted 2 days max.
I'm happy to report that these coils have saved the tanks from the bin, anyone that has a Nautilus should seriously consider buying these. There's a video on the site showing you how to work with these and it's a doddle. For those not interested in the work involved I would say to them do not buy a Nautilus.
I can't comment on the BVC's but with all the trouble with the BDC's I wouldn't give them another penny.

Having had so much trouble with aspire products... I just can't understand how aspire are still in business. Good by nautilus and it's coils.. goodbye all the annoyance and failures and at times.. it literally drew blood from my hands. Hello joyetech delta tank. Aspire is dead to me now.

It's weird isn't it.

I was lucky to 'step away from the Aspires' from day one, because the reports were so shocking. When all this stuff was new (whenever that was) really experienced Vapers were coming on forums tearing their hair out and (in cases) crying on their take-to-work (small) mods in frustration.

Then... one day... as if by magic, a new coil came out.

Slowly, it became clear that instead of 9 out of 10 people wanting to throw their mods out the window, a new 9 out of 10 people were loving their vape.

So, I bought into it. I love them. :)

I just feel for the folks that had such a sh** time. Yes, it's a miracle Aspire stayed in business. The internet should have killed them off selling that piece of junk coil.

(then again, the internet should have ruined Totally Wicked and those abominations that were "Tornado" T atomizers) they are still selling these....

Everything moves on. Most things get better. :)
