    ► Aspire Pixo Aura; Introduction:
The Pixo line was created to amaze, first with the technological advances of the "Pixo Touch Screen" and later with the "Pixo Neo." Overall, this newcomer doesn't deviate much from the original design; in shape and size, while weighing just 51g, a featherweight. The Pixo Aura doesn't completely forgo a display, integrating a real-time digital charge percentage indicator, aided by a colorful dynamic LED. Battery capacity remains unchanged from the Pixo Neo at 1,300mAh, a figure that will surely please those who vape outdoors and need long battery life. Aspire sent me the Pixo Aura in Carbon Black with a glossy, smooth-to-the-touch IML coating. The decorations simulate leather stitching, and the Aspire and Pixo Aura writings are silver. A truly beautiful mix of decorations and colors; I really like it.

► Aspire Pixo Aura; 1,300mAh Battery:
On the bottom of the Aspire Pixo Aura is a USB Type-C 5V-2A charging port for connecting to the internal 1,300mAh battery, which can deliver a maximum output of 30W. According to Aspire, this battery is designed to provide up to 4 days of use on a single charge, which is certainly an impressive feat, but as we all know, charge duration depends on frequency of use and the power setting. A full battery charge takes approximately 90 minutes. During charging and while vaping, you can view the battery level on the digital display. While charging, the LED will change colors:

    • Red LED; The charge level is between 0 and 30%
    • Blue LED; The charge level is between 30 and 60%
    • Green LED; The charge level is between 60 and 100%

► Aspire Pixo Aura; Adjustable Airflow:
The airflow adjustment system is located on the side. The slider is precise enough and stays put after adjustment. You can select a small hole or start by adjusting three slots; with an open hole, the draw is controlled in pure MTL style. Adding one, two, or three slots increases the airflow, and the draw takes on RDL/DL characteristics. This airflow system is particularly useful for best adapting to the various Pixo cartridges available on the market today.

► Aspire Pixo Aura; Pod Compartment:
The Pixo Neo's pod compartment houses gold-plated contacts for optimal electrical conductivity, and two magnets effectively hold the installed pod. The control sensor for automatic puff activation is also located on the bottom.

► Aspire Pixo Aura; Smart LED Light:
This kit has a unique feature; It features a bright dynamic LED that activates with a specific color based on the cartridge installed, as follows:

    • Blue LED: The installed cartridge has a resistive value of 1.2Ω (9-13W), the power output corresponds to approximately 12W
    • Green LED: The installed cartridge has a resistive value of 1.0Ω (10-15W), the power output corresponds to approximately 14W
    • Orange LED: The installed cartridge has a resistive value of 0.6Ω (14-19W), the power output corresponds to approximately 18W
    • Red LED: The installed cartridge has a resistive value of 0.4Ω (23-30W), the power output corresponds to approximately 26W

Furthermore, if the dynamic LED changes color and emits pulses, we can identify (based on the color and number of flashes) the type of safety function that has activated.

► Aspire Pixo Aura; Refillable Disposable Cartridges:
The Pixo Aura kit comes with a 0.6Ω (3ml) cartridge with a 14-19W range (pre-installed) for RDL/MTL vaping. The tank is filled by lifting the orange silicone cap. The generously sized opening fits most commercially available e-liquid bottles. The large transparent surface of the cartridge allows for easy monitoring of the e-liquid level. According to Aspire, this type of cartridge offers an average 43% longer coil life and optimal flavor retention that is 36% longer than other disposable cartridges on the market.

In the images below, you can see the different types of cartridges currently compatible with the Pixo Touch, Pixo Neo, and Pixo Aura. All feature mesh coils, with capacities of 2ml (TPD) and 3ml (Free). Both side-fill and top-fill versions

    • 0.4Ω Range 23-30W DL/RDL
    • 0.6Ω Range 14-19W RDL/MTL (Included)
    • 1.2Ω Range 9-13W MTL
    • 1.0Ω Range 10-15W MTL

► Aspire Pixo Aura; Vaping Test and Final Conclusions:
The 0.6Ω coil included in the package is an old friend of mine and pleasantly surprised me from the first time I tested it. It maintains the typical reaction speed of mesh cartridges, without overly muddying or sweetening the flavor, but on the contrary, it makes the flavor well-defined and natural. It is perfect for MTL vaping in combination with a single open airflow. This AFC setting releases a rather contrasting draw together with a powerful throat hit. By opening a hole or two, MTL vaping becomes smoother and cooler, with substantial clouds of vapor, the flavor is concentrated as long as the airflow is not opened to the maximum. After testing these cartridges on previous Pixo cartridges, I quantified the life of these excellent cartridges as medium/long (depending on the type of e-liquid used). Like the previous Pixo cartridges, the new Pixo Aura is also characterized as a versatile pod system that can fully satisfy the MTL vaping style as well as RDL. The high-quality finishes, light weight, compact size, the robustness of the Mod, and the battery life make the Pixo Aura perfect for those looking for a vape that is both pocket-sized and powerful. Information on the battery level and active safety features is clearly displayed, partly on the display and partly by the intelligent dynamic LED. In conclusion, the new PIXO AURA belongs to the "entry-level" segment, where it is certainly at the top of its competition. Therefore, given that its operation is exemplary and I have not encountered any anomalies, my opinion is absolutely positive.

    • Thank you to Aspiree for sending me the Pixo Aura for this review.
