Love the Triton v2 tank and large wicking openings on the Aspire coils. REALLY enjoying the 0.5 ohm coil that came installed and find 42 watts is the sweet spot for me with this tank and coil juicing 50/50 12-24 mg/mL while tootling DL.

The only thing I HATE about the Triton v2 is the top cap that must be removed before filling. Seems I have to use pliers every.time. to remove the dang thing. The culprit is the inner o-ring that fits around the chimney. I determined that by removing the o-ring just while "trouble-shooting". Applying a thin coat of juice to the o-ring doesn't correct the issue.

If ... IF ... the Aspire Triton v2 fill feature was the same as the twist to open and fill top of the Eleaf Melo 2, this Triton would be perfect !!! ... for me.

The Triton v2 and Melo 2 are similar in size. I wonder if I can break them down and come up with a Franken-tank or something LOL

Hey, I finally found a fix for the top cap issue. If you remove the top cap, turn it 'mouth side' down. Look into the hole, you'll see an o-ring in a small channel. There is also another empty channel further down closer to the drip tip. Using something blunt, like a toothpick, or perhaps tweezers, carefully remove that o-ring. Now turn the DT right side up, remove drip tip. Gently feed that o-ring down from the mouth side. Using that toothpick, work it into what was that empty channel. That's it. No drips, no issues, no threading problems.

Seems that some of the o-rings swell.

Thanks big_vape !!! Will have to give that a try. Way to think outside the box !!! I know and mentioned earlier, the same exact o-ring. Only thing I had tried to do was turn the dang o-ring inside out, when I found the inside had the smoothest surface and would likely mate best with the chimney. Only slightly helped.

Okay tried it. So far so good.

Observations: with the DT removed, I determined that the upper channel may be slightly oversize for the o-ring because with the cap reinstalled and using a toothpick, I see there is slight o-ring play in the channel. The o-ring no longer actually seats around the chimney.

What I THINK is happening is that the bottom of the DT when reinstalled, is squeezing the o-ring against the top of the chimney. If that is indeed the case, the only issue of possible leaks might occur if a DT other than the original is used (?).

Maybe I'm over thinking it LOL. In any case, it's better than it was ... for now. THANKS !!! :)

Hobbs, when I first bought mine, instead of pliers, it was shredding my thumbs. I posted on the official Aspire support site, and this fix was recommended by another user. Worked for him, and 2 months in, it's working for me. I rarely use the original drip tip, and have never had a leak. Since this field change, I've never encountered any difficulty in removing the top cap, and it always sits perfectly flush now.

Similar to the famous blue screwdriver, Aspire should have included a pair of pliers with this tank with that o-ring in it's original position. ;)

    Got 3 triton2s...
Yup, the threads on the top are a little picky. I find that if you press down to get past the resistance of the inner o-ring and turn gently the wrong way until you get a slight click, then turn the nornal way until just snug, it works fine. Leave the drip tip on - gives you more to hold on to. They are nice tanks, and for me, at least, just work. The 0.5 ohm claptons seem the best coils.
