i've been using the Triton 2 tank the past couple of days and wanted to post some preliminary thoughts...

    image.jpg image.jpg
    • Nice big top fill slots, easy to fill but you need to press down the screw-in top cap to compress the o-ring and engage the threads...go slow!
    • Decent size, "busy" appearance in my opinion but not bad.
    • Medium air flow. With 1.8 ohm coil it's good for MTL.
    • No gurgling/spitting with 1.8 and 0.5 ohm (Clapton) coils with 50VG and 70VG juices.
    • You can take it apart for cleaning! Love this.
    • Much easier to see juice levels vs original Triton.
    • Be sure to switch from Fill to Vape "modes" by rotating the top ring clockwise only. If you do it counter-clockwise you could start unscrewing the tank top from the glass.
    • There's not much grip to open the top for filling. Don't screw it on too tightly.
    • AFC ring spins fairly easy but it sits low and hadn't been accidentally moved yet. Might be a problem if you carry your mod in a pocket.
    Enjoying using this tank!

I'm a big fan of the original Triton coils, including the 1.8 for MTL and there were only a few things I didn't like about that tank. So I now have a Triton 2 on order which I should receive tomorrow :)

What wattages have you been running the different coils at? I always found the 1.8 was quite happy at 20 watts on the original Triton for example, but obviously have no experience of the Clapton coil yet.

I'm running the 1.8 ohm coil at 13W. Haven't brought it higher yet but zero concerns at 13W with 50VG juice. I haven't done MTL on anything other than the Triton 2 and my Sapor closed all the way down but it's working well IMO. I have the air slots closed about halfway on the Triton 2 with the 1.8 coil.

I was running the 0.5 ohm Clapton at 20W at the start to see how well it wicked 70VG...not well, got a bit toasty right away. So that coil is gone and I have to wait until I can order more.

Ta for the info. Not had any problems with the Clapton at 40W with 70VG here, but maybe vaping style accounts for this difference? e.g. amount of time between inhales?

Anyway the Triton 2 is close to perfect for me except for one thing - they really messed up with the screw on top piece that is removed when filling it with juice - threading too easy to get wrong, not much to grip hold of, generally that bit is no fun to work with at all and on mine its pretty rare for it to screw in all the way flush, boo.

I just bought 2 of them, so trying both coils.
Running my 1.8ohm at 15 watts - bit of work on the draw, but great flavor after it warms up.
Clapton at 40 watts 4.52 volts - by far my all time favorite coil ever used.

2 of you complained/commented on the screwing on the drip tip system. Mine's the same. Serious PITA, and my thumbs are rubbed raw from the pressure and turning. One tank was already swapped out because by hand it would never screw back in flush (not cross threaded), and checked to be authentic.
