Assembely instructions for the chuck? I just opend mine right now

Not so much assembely, but my BIG chuck, came with a clear sleeve, not really sure how its used or what for.

Could someone please enlighten me?

I have batts to run at 3.7 and 6.0v

I made the same mistake you did, and have a useless sleeve now.


I think the purpose of the sleeve was to help those who already have a bunch of CR2 batteries.
And I think that a lot of people may have them from other mods that run CR2 batteries.

Apparently the RCR123's last longer and the cr2's are a little smaller so you need the sleeve to keep them in place inside the Big Chuck. From everything I've read, you are better off with the RCR123a's. As DC2 said, you'd only want to use CR2's if you already have a lot of them that you use with other mods and have no other use for the RCR123a's. I'm in just the opposite situation - I don't have any CR2's or mods that can use them; I have another mod that CAN use the RCR123a's and two other mods that are 3.7v but are about to release 6v versions that will use RCR123a's.

I just tried puttin a 14500 in my little chuck, which is the same length as 2 cr2's, and it sticks out about 3/8", plus they are too skinny, you would need a sleeve to get them to make positive contact.
