Thanks to all the members of this forum!

The wealth of information on e-cigs made my decision easy; this has certainly changed my life. I smoked 1pad for over 20 years before switching to gum for 7 years, but I was still unable to give up my morning and evening smokes. I chanced upon a reference to e-cigs and did some research and came across this forum.

Two weeks ago, I received an eGo-T and some 18mg e-liquid and haven't looked back. I threw away my analogues a week ago knowing I would never smoke again.

Awesome. I did the same thing 25 days ago now. Went into a brick and mortar that sold these things on a whim, and walked out with an eGo-T kit and haven't looked back.

I've had 3 analogs in the 25 days
one because my battery died on day 4 - now have 2 batteries
one because of frustration/anger and habit pushed me into it - hasn't happened again so I don't know what to do against this situation yet
one about a week ago just to see if I even could smoke an analog anymore... tasted horrible

this vaping thing is pretty sweet :)

Thats awesome! Welcome! I also agree, i love how much info is here and how friendly the community is, especially compared to other online communities. Id also reccomend to you the Ego-C over the Ego-T for better vapor production/th changeable atomizer heads and although i havent used the ego-t for an extended period of time, i hear that they have a bunch of issues that were resolved with the ego-c. As you can ssee in my avatar i use the ego-c :p and its awesome. I too am unable to give up the morning smoke but have done so for the past few days so we will see how things go. BTW you can pick up the ego-c cone/atty combo to switch to ego-t for cheaper from lots of places, fits on the same battery ego-t uses!

Thanks for the advice. I had a look at the eGo-c and it seems like the replacable atomizer heads would be a big improvement. I'm going to order the kit and give it a try. Do you use the low resistance heads or the normal ones?

Would using a low res head with 650mAh eGo-t battery be a bad idea?

Low resistance will result in shorter battery life, not only per charge but also the actual unit. It's an acceptable trade off for some people to get the increased heat, throat hit and vapor production. I would suggest trying both and seeing what you like better. Some people don't enjoy the increased temperature and throat hit, although I've never seen anyone complain about the larger amount of vapor. Edit: a 650 is big enough to use low resistance stuff on, although many people who use it all the time step up to the larger ego style batteries.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

My journey into the world of vaping has not been without problems. The first batch of e-juice left me with a constant low grade headache but I was able to find an alternate supplier. While the new juice was easier on the head, it doesn't do much for the throat. With luck, I'll be able to find a good supplier but Canadian vendors are hard to come by.

I plan to try a variety of normal and low res atomizers, as well as larger bats to get me through the work day.

My wife (non-smoker) is pleased I'm no longer smoking analogues. Meanwhile, I have backup batteries, attys and a supply of gum and emergency nic patches in case my PV unexpectedly packs it in.

As for giving up the morning smoke, it was an easy decision. I always smoked outside due to the smell. Either I stand out in the cold and rain for an analogue or vape in the comfort of a warm bed.

I wish you all the best in your quest to be smoke free!
