So I just had a long overdue realization...

I have been vaping my Atlantis tank (with extension)in TC mode and every do often the vape will get light. It's as if I'm not getting as much volume of vapor. My fix has been to cover the holes and suck hard. A few bulbles pop through the hols in the atty and it gets better.

I just realized that if I open it like I'm goign to refill, and then close it back up, it fixes the issue. It seems that so much back pressure builds up that it holds the juice in. YMMV, but for me opening it up gives me a much better experience. And has me worrying less that there is something wrong with my mod.

R U vaping high VG juice? Which coil are you using? In TC mode when your vapor is getting light it means that your wicking is not keeping up and TC is kicking in to keep you from getting a dry hit.

I typically vape with high VG, but this was also happening with 50-50. I was using the Atlantis TC heads from VS. It was definitely the wicking not keeping up, but the question was why? I'm certain it was backpressure building up. When I open the Atlantis to refill, it gives me a hiss and the bubbles for on the inside.

suction actually. And without it you would flood out the coil and leak like a sieve.
If pressure was building up in your tank it would push the juice thru the wick.

Yes. Suction. But too much, and I don't get enough juice. I just ddin't think it would build up over the use of a tank without some release.

If the suction releases you get flooding. Perhaps the extension is causing more suction to build up.

does it work fine till the juice level drops down to around 1/2 or less?

Yes. The extension could be the culprit. It probably happens after 2-3ml of juice. I never notice it after filling. It usually right about halfway through finishing the tank. I'm usually thinking there's enough juice that the coil is getting wet, but something is preventing it from feeding.

I always just refilled it and that would fix the problem. But I think I'm finally realizing why. Just surprised it's not mentioned more often.
