Another mech purchase? Well... I'm waiting on notification that my Moneypenny is ready and I'm looking back and forth between the Roller and the 69. I want the Eric's edition 69 but right when I decided to buy..they went out of stock everywhere. Or maybe it was because they went out of stock that I wanted one LOL

Where are you?! You've been gone for a week now!

I was spending too much on vape gear, so I started spending more time on gun forums:facepalm: Not a good way to try and save money.

I think the same thing when I'm considering buying some new vape toy, but while gun collecting is one of my hobbies, I spent far more on guitars and audio equipment. Vaping is dead-cheap in comparison.

i got mine through stormy's vapor cellar. there's a german place vapor-freaks.de that produced an updated version with revised ceramics inside to track the changes maded in the gg ody v2, but this v1 i have hasn't had any issues with leaks yet. i can carry my dingo-T around without worrying about leakage. my pocket does sag, though...

I was able to pick up a two day old Eric's Edition 69 Mod in the classies...can't wait to compare it to the Roller.

To me, they are both so different and beautifully designed in their own way. Hence, I have kept them both :) Two reasons I keep a mod: 1) Performance 2) Something innovative. I'd like to say beauty but I can't... If it doesn't perform well, I'd rather just look at the sunrise or something lol. But they are both pretty to look at too. :toast:

Congrats on the Eric's Edition. FWY shes temperamental, but you learn to love her. On a side note. If you would compare the Dingo to a Roller. Would you say one performs better than another? For fairness sake say they both were compared with an 18350 or a Dingo with a fixed extension and both had 18650s. I'm debating on buying a roller, or getting the fixed extensions for my Dingo.

They both perform the same so you just need to figure out if you like the look of the telescopic tube or the fixed tubes.

i got the extension tube with my dingo and found that i had battery wobble when using 18650s due to the fairly large inner diameter of the dingo. does not make for a feeling of high quality, although, as you noted, the machining is very well done and it does look like a one-piece tube.

What brand batteries are you using, and flat or button top?
I'm debating whether I should get the roller tubes to convert the Dingo or the fixed tube myself. Don't particularly care for the telescoping look

Did you use the nipple top or flat top 18650s? I'm thinking the wobble could be fixed with a safety fuse or a magnet to increase tension on the spring. I'm also curious about the smaller extension tube. On their site it says it was specifically designed for the kick, but could it be used as an 18500 extension?

i tried both nipple top and flat top. efest, panasonic and samsung. all wobble to varying degrees. the problem is that the inner diameter of the tubes is 21 mm. cramming something else in there along with the battery to increase spring tension might work to eliminate some wobble, but probably not all of it.

i don't have a 18500 on hand to test, but the kick extension (which I got just for the sake of completeness, ha) only adds 19 mm. but since the spring is 18 mm tall and can compress to less than 8 mm, an 18500 should fit. but then the spring would probably be far too compressed to serve as a safety mechanism.

Your right the inner diameter would be the main culprit. This is where telescopic tubes one-up solid tubes, but solid tubes look so good. Knowing me if I get the roller tubes I would get the inner tube SS-P for that slight bit of contrast, and keep the rest of the mod Matte. Probably order a SS-P button to top things off.

I think I'll agree. These are the two that I've wanted the most and now I have both. I may have to sell the EA Mod now though...but I don't think that will hurt.
