So was looking and waiting to buy a Atom tank..
I had a nova that broke at the threads down at the bottom.
So I took it apart!!!!
I also have a spare standard size carto tube.
The idea is since the top is a 510 connector and it actually only threads RIGHT to the bottom holes on the atty..
it would work. The middle pole / connector (b) is hallow with a pin (a) that is also hallow the bottom of that is sealed with (j) a plug. so the middle pole is free standing and only connects to the side of the middle bottom of the atty. thus allowing the hole of the atty . coil top housing to have air flow.
So you would only need a small gasket or oring to seal the sides of the atty bottom when its connected into the middle connector so juice wont go in there.
in the second picture you see the main idea. since the nova bottom is smaller than the standard tank we could seal up the bottom of the tank with a stopper that has a hole drilled out and slide in the bottom assembly (a,b,h,j).
It should pull in cause its vented. The only issue i see is adjusting air flow to carb it. But this will keep your nova usable.
--- Destructible part ----
Now we could cut the tank to the point where we want to seal it and expose the bottom of the pole. Seal up the middle pole/ pin cause it freely comes out form the bottom or replace it with a solid piece of metal. But then drilling a hole in the side tube instead that should give us a carb and we simply put a flat gasket on it so we can adjust flow and cover to prime.
Since i have one taken apart i may just look into getting a 510 connection on to (b) itself without the bottom since its off anyways.
Ill keep you updated on this idea. But i have 1 nova working so i may try the top portion just to see..
A good check would be next time i need to replace my head just slide on a atty and take a draw lol...making sire its filled to the weep holes. if it works i know this ideas good.
Your thoughts????
