Yay! my first post!

My first PV was not that great. I paid way to much for old technology and ended up returning it after I discovered this forum and bought me a Riva 510. What a difference! And almost 1/3 the price for a very decent beginners product.

So... for the past few weeks I have been ordering stuff like there is no tomorrow, from here, and there, etc... (mostly e-liquid) I feel that no matter how much I spend, it is still cheaper than smoking, so why not.

Only problem is, I've come to the point where I am just spending too much and I really need to narrow down what atomizers I need to check out. Granted, atomizers are cheap, but the accessories that go with them can get expensive and why buy all of that if I am eventually going to settle on a couple of atomizers that I like.

So, here is where I am at at the moment:

So far I only have experience with the 510. The stock riva is just not enough, but I am getting by with homecraft modding. I figure I can get into dripping until I can decide on my preferred atomizer, then get into some sort of tank mod. I have a 510 drip tip, 306 drip tip (cannon) being shipped as we speak. Also 1 901 atomizer, but I don't think that is what I am looking for. I also broke down and ordered a Provari last monday (2 weeks lead time??!!! argggg!)

I sure am eyeing Super-T's stuff at the moment, but I really don't want to invest that much and decide later that 510 is not my thing (is it adaptable?). I been searching forums on good drip atomizers but only get more confused as I go. One main reason is because a lot of opinions that seem good, are from threads that are not as recent.

I guess my priority is vapor, lots of it, and decent flavor (as much as I puff, flavor doesn't have to be stellar). I like to puff quite a bit before I inhale, up to 5-6 seconds until it looks like I am on fire . I like the thru the nose hits, 2 or 3 before inhaling. I am not as concerned with throat hit as it seems I am sensitive to it, but I don't want it too weak.

To narrow my curiosity down. What would be a good atomizer to try out some dripping on? That I can find drip tips and/or tank mods for?

Should I wait before I add this VapeMate to my cart?

Hi and welcome to ECF. You won't know what you like until you try it. As far as atty's, LR's will give you more vapor and throat hit. If the standard atty isn't doing it for you try one and see how you like it. You can get adapters to try just about all different types but that can get expensive pretty quick and you'll probably only end up using one of them in the end. I'd just order a couple different atty's when you place your next order and give 'em a shot, you always need backups anyway.

If you've been eyeing the Super T mods why not try something a bit less expensive first to see how you like it. Check this one out Indulgence : VaporJunction, E-Cigarette Supply. It comes with 4 different end caps so you can use 401, 510, 901, 808, or 801 atty's or carto's, all for just $59.95. If you get the extension tube you can use the huge 3000mah 18650 batteries or run it at 6v if you want.

As far as dripping, I use these LitecigUSA Premium Joye Low Resistance 510 Atomizer and they work just fine. They're genuine Joye too.

I'd recommend that you don't buy too much until you get your Provari in and use it for a while. That will give you a better point of reference to base your decicions on. To try the different atties, you can get battery adapters for as little as a dollar (Good Prophets) and drip tips for around the same. You don't even need a drip tip to try dripping on the different atties; just use the blank cartridge that comes with the atty. Sure you'll have to take it off to drip, but if you decide you like it, you can always get a tip later. You say you have a 901 atty on the way. Since you say you have a 306 drip tip, I assume you have a 306 atty as well. Including the 510 that you got with the Riva, that just leaves the 801 style to cover the most common atties. 510 drip tips should work on the 901 by the way.

Also, I'd stick to standard resistance atties since you have a variable voltage mod on the way. No reason to make things even more complicated at this point with low or high resistance. It's not necessary with variable voltage.
