I haven't seen this on any thread, doesn't mean there isn't one, but I have noticed something about breaking in a new atomizer. When I start a new atomizer it has that odd taste of a new atty, but it doesn't pump out the vape like the old one. After around 1/2 day usage the new atty starts to put out the big vape I'm used to on my Prodigy. The only thing I can imagine causes this is there is still some of the preservative on the new atty and it takes time to get it all off. FYI I use the Prodigy with the 801 atty. Has anyone else noticed this?

This problem could be solved by using a model such as the GP VapoRite 808 that uses disposable cartomizers. Check it out.

That doesn't "solve the problem" since cartomizers usually "ramp up" also....

And even when they have fully "ramped up", rarely do they put out as much vapor as other models. And, of course, they have a bad habit of burning/melting internally.

Besides that.. they're great!

This is normal for some atomizers to do. Just place a few drops of juice on the atty bridge when the atty is new and start vaping. All will be ok.. Some attys must be broke in. The 801 is a good atty. Good success..

Some come out firing on all cylanders and others take quite a while to wake up.

There is one thing to consider .....

How long has that atomiser been lying around, by this I mean since it came out of the factory.

It could be several months and I think the longer it is lying around with suppliers or if you bulk buy it may be lying in your home for months before you use it.
I am still working my way through the batch I bought in April/May.

Stands to reason what ever they put on the head/wick to prime it months ago, may have dried a little and need some more moisture to kick it in to action.
