I appreciate the feedback and apologize for my late response. I've been a bit busy.
Lots of good advice. I think that I'll look into the resin tubes and some bands OR maybe thin-walled silicone tubing. I just thought of that.
Also, someone questioned why I drop my mod so often and I would like to claim that I do it on purpose and that I'm looking to break some kind of world record but the truth is that I tend to be very impatient and my mind tends to wander which is a recipe for disaster, I suppose.
