Just received notice that my Reo Grand is shipped; oh the agonizing wait!!
I wanted to inquire what is a good atomizer to use . I never have really used them other than a ancient 501 shorty to test juice. Do I need a 501 306 or ? On a lot of websites I can't tell how long they are.
I got the Rm2 for it as I use rebuildable atty's on my tube unit, once in a while a carto tank. I thought for out and about an atomizer would be easier.
All responses appreciated.

Your question is a little backwards. Regarding the RM2, it's more like... "I'm sick of these garbage 'disposable' atomizers and need something that works great, is dependable, and hassle free. What would you recommend?"

RM2!!! It's the only one you need.

I feel like I'm in the minority here, but I change my wick daily and my coil every 2-3 days. Why? Because it costs 6-8 cents in material and 2 minutes of my time, and there's nothing better than a brand new coil/wick. You're really gonna have to try at breaking it to be successful, and it's performance is consistent as hell! It's a workhorse of a device!

Also, with a disposable atty, the juice will pool up in the catch cup and it's easier to leak liquid everywhere (at least with every brand that I've tried, it's just the nature of how they are made). I actually don't think I've EVER leaked juice form the bottom of the RM2, just out of the airhole if I squonk way too hard. So for that alone, the RM2 is way better for out and about... it's not messy!

+1 on the RM2 for out and about. Less likely to leak and more important in my case....less likely to break when dropped. Countless 510 atties of mine turned into leaning towers with guts hanging out and shattered drip tips on top. RM2's stumble and walk away unscathed.

And most important....Welcome to REOvil!! :)

It might sound excessive, but my backup is another Reo Grand with a RM2 set up identically to my first with a different flavor in it. I have never had an RM2 fail on me, even after dropping them. Usually if there is something wrong with your vape, the screws have worked themselves loose, and that is easily fixed. I like to switch up flavors at some point late in the day, and the above scenario lets me do that and gives me rock solid peace of mind in the event that I had a catastrophic failure of the first one.

I was never able to get a carto to work properly on a Reo, but a lot of other people have. If you were going to be out and about for a really long time without access to rebuild supplies, perhaps dialing in the carto thing would be a useful skill.

The only disposable atty that I have tried that I really like is a dual coil LR Clouds of Vapor 510. I somehow managed to keep a few of them rolling around a drawer from back in the day when I first tried vaping, and for a non-RBA, they dominate. Awesome flavor and vapor. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find them for sale anymore, so that's not the most helpful thing in the world.

Given my experience with the RM2, I don't really have any desire to look elsewhere until there is a similarly designed atty that is made out of stainless or Ti or somebody sells me a Chalice or 2. *wink wink
