Ok, yesterday my atomizer started producing little vapor and tasted really bad. I tries blowing it out, still tasted horrible. I pulled out a new atomizer to make sure that was the problem and it was. last night I ran the bad one under really hot water and let it dry. This morning it still tasted like crap. Today I tried the cola soak and them I tried boiling it. It is producing good vapor now but it still tastes like crap. anyone have any advice as to how I can get the crap taste to go away.

Without knowing what type of E-cig you are using.
No two atomizers are ever exactly the same. It could be that the bridge/coil is a little higher on the one that is giving you a bad taste, and is coming in contact with the poly filling and is burning some of the poly. Is there an indentation in the cart filler from the coil?
You can try and remove the poly from the cart, then drip just a couple of drops directly on the atomizer. If this is the problem, then the bad taste should dissipate after a few draws. You may then opt to replace the filler and trim it 1 or 2 mils shorter than what was previoulsy used.

but the bad taste went away once I switched atomizers. I don't want to junk it,it still works it just tastes real bad.

My theory was that a little bit of polyester had melted onto the coil.....the taste did go away eventually if I kept on using the atomizer but it took a long time and worried me too much so I stopped using polyester and haven't had that problem since.

how do you fill it with tea bags?

You will need to cut a small piece the right length and just enough to fill the cart, but not be overly packed. If it is too tight, it won't wick properly. If it is too lose, it won't hold the liquid. Roll the cut piece of tea bag (loosely but not too loose) and then insert it into the cart in place of the original batting. It is something that takes a little practice to perfect.
