I tailpipe it, too, then I can actually see when the coil turns orange. I feel more comfortable doing the dry burn this way. I understand the anxiety you're experiencing because I was scared to death the first time I did a dry burn. I didn't know what I was doing and I was so sure I was going to pop my atty. I didn't and every successive dry burn has become easier and more comfortable.

If it makes you feel any better, I think I have an atty that's going bad. It stinks to high heaven whenever I fire it even after I did the Highping cleaning. Looks like I'm going to attempt my first dewick/debridge today. Am I nervous about that? Hell, yeah.

I was nervous about doing a debridge, too, but I finally did it the other day, and it was easy as heck! Took about 20 seconds for the entire procedure. Just use tweezers, gently scrape off the mesh and it should rip in the middle, then wiggle the bridge, and it will pop right out. Then the mesh will pull out easily with the tweezers. You can do it, WoH!

Holy crap! It really was just that easy! I just debridged my first atty and now I'm dripping with it. No more smell, just the sweet taste of Peaches 'N Cream vapor. This is the best dripping experience I've ever had! Ah, crap...now that I've officially been converted to dripping I'm going to need a drip tip.

See, Raynen? If an old gal like me can do it, you can, too!

After a good dry burn, put a couple of drops of non-flavored vg on the atty. It can be purchased at walmart. Wilton's brand is what I use. This will also help eliminate the nasty leftover burnt taste from cleaning it. Vape it off and drip a couple or 3 drops of juice into the atty, fill your cart, and vape. May take a few puffs for your flavor to come through.

You need to invest in some cartomizers my friend, they are so much easier and less of a hassle compared to a atty/cart setup.

I'm seriously considering it, but I'm still stubborn with these atty/cart systems :p I blame my Polish blood for the stubbornness but I think I found a way to make it all work me be a happy Vapor toker :)

Ok, instead of rereading this entire thread, I'll just explain how to use an atomizer. I'm not sure why you're having a problem or exactly what's causing your problem, so let's start at the beginning:

Take the atty off from the battery and blow through the bridge end of the atty a few times. Some of the primer liquid might still be inside the atty. This needs to be blown out, or the taste will be bad until it's vaped out, which can take several hours or even a couple of days. Sometimes, the atty needs to be soaked, rinsed, flushed out, blown out to remove the excess water, and dried for a couple of minutes using a blow dryer (or use the Highping method). You can also use the Walmart syringe and rubber cone (that holds the atty) kit to help flush and get out all of the primer liquid that they put on new atties before you receive them. A picture of this Children's syringe kit is shown in one of my blogs, accessible over at the left under my avatar.

After you think you've blown out all the liquids from inside the atty, drip 6 drops of your juice into the atty. Blow once through the bridge end. This will push the juice down as far as it will go into the atty.

Drip 3 more drops into the atty. Now it's ready to vape.

After every 6 to 8 drags, depending on how long you drag on it, you'll need to add 3 more drops of your juice.

The above steps should remove the stinky vapor, unless the juice you're using is causing the stink, which is probably not the case.

Let us know if this helps any.

i just ordered a pack of cartomizers from Volcano, anxious to try them out and seen what the difference is between the regular carts are.

I've learned to stay far away from Volcano! Their products have been the worst quality, the most expensive (with the worst customer service) that I've bought, no doubt about it.
