Atomo's have a nice recessed button... which leads to it's issues. The button tends to float around too much and create micro arcs and experience "hot button". This is not just a clone issue, even authentic Atomo's have this issue (I have a Atomo copperbond on my desk that had it).

Gille recognized this problem and switched from magnets to springs to get better conductivity from the button to the body of the tube, but I don't like the spring he used. It was small and the resistance was high, it would cause the voltage drop to be all over the place. I corrected the issue by modifying a nemesis spring. Bigger, heavier and less resistance. It created better surface contact and the voltage drop is now in line with even my Nemesis. The heavier spring also helps if you you don't have a lock (like the v1 is no existing).

I really like my Atomo mods, I have a few... authentic, clones and they all see used during the week.
