A couple of months ago, I purchased Boge Soft Cap Cartos in a futile attempt to kick out my attys from my e-cig agenda. I must have filled them wrong, or didn't fill them enough, and at least one must have been a dud... because they either tasted burnt, didn't have ANY flavor, or just hit really weak.

Last night, I filled up my last and only carto with my lovely Blackberry/Passion Fruit (80PG/20VG). I KNOW I filled it correctly (cap condom method works great!), and I tried it at first right away (only a few drags), then put a few extra drops and let it sit overnight.

I love, love, LOVE the convenience of cartos, I really do. I just don't like the rest of it all. They hit very airy and kind of dry (without actually burning me). The flavor is kinda mute but a decent amount of vapor. The hits I get from my attys/carts are way different though. I get a lot more flavor and vapor, but I'll admit that it IS a hassle to have to deal with attys in the first place.

Do all cartos have that "soft" or "airy" feel to them? If I could find a carto that has a "heavier" hit, I'd be so happy! I don't know if this means I need LR cartos, but how do LRs work in reference to batteries? I have stock 510 batts, and I have no clue how LRs and HRs work with batteries.

Thank you everyone for the help and dealing with me   :vapor: Happy vaping!

For boge cartos, I chuck the soft cap. I replace it with a 510 cart, remove the filler, and cut the open end down to the point where it doesn't hit the boge filler. The 510 cart draw is perfect, whereas the soft cap flows too much and you get just a bunch of warm tastless vapor. The 510 cart has passageways so the vape is a bit cooler, and the vapor droplets have a chance to recombine and form larger droplets which results in increased flavor. The boge cartos do need several refills before they "settle in", though.

Raynen, you did not mention whether you are using standard or LR Boge cartos. I find the standards weak on flavor and th on an eGo or other 3.2v 510 battery. They don't really kick in for me on anything less than a 3.7v mod, and even then are a bit disappointing, until I get to 5v. I just ordered some 2.0 ohm Boge cartos for my Rivas and even my 3.7v mod. I've got hopes that the flavor, vapor and th will be much better. But I'm keeping the standard resistance Boge cartos for 5v vaping.

I tried both the 808s and the 510 cartos....the 510s seemed airy compared to the 808s. For awhile i preferred the 808s until i took a toothpick and plugged off one of the air holes near the threads on the 510. Drastically improved the draw...I only use the 510s now. Same story....tired of attys...i think the plugged off carto gives more flavor and less hassle.

please don't use LR anything on stock 510 batteries. you will (in all likelihood) kill your batteries dead. if not, they'll at the very least last a heck of a lot less time.

as to the draw issue, plugging one (or both?) of the little holes up above the threads on the carto can indeed tighten up the draw. start with one, obviously. also, make sure you have a way to pull whatever you plug it with out, just in case :)

My Boge carto pulls alot of air the first day. The second day is perfect on the draw. The third is good.
The 4th, starts getting real tight. Either the last of the 4th day or first of 5th...I chunk em. Draw is
tooo tight for me.
Don't know if that is normal or not. It's just the way my rounds work with them.
But yes the first day is way too airy.
I do know that on the threaded end, the slot where it looks like a small screwdriver will fit...if you
turn it one way or the other, it is suppose to adjust the draw. I have not done that, but have
read where others have.

Still...I love the Boges!

That's the thing... I'll either be fiddling/chucking cartos or fiddling with carts that I already know well by now. I think I'm just hitting a vaping wall at this point. I really don't want to give up on my attys unless necessary, but I am happy I tried the carto. I think I need a box juice feed mean MOD  Thank you everyone though for at least trying to help me, I know I'm difficult
