So far I've tried 7 different vendors looking for the perfect tobacco vape. And I found the perfect one Highbrows Exotic Blend I love this stuff and Dutch Pipe is a close second. But there is a problem my cartos seem to clog after a couple of refills. I'm using Smokeless Image cartos. Does this clog all cartos? Is there a better carto I could be using for this vape without so much waste? Maybe just not a carto vape? Do I need a different device just to use this stuff?

Welcome , but Ninja is correct . Some juices tend to clog/kill the carto's . I use Boge's myself , and one of the members has a site , that will sell you Boge's at a bulk price . It's called springvapors.com , I think . If that doesn't work , there are plenty of vendors that will do a deal on bulk purchases . Another thing you might try . Get a Vivi-Nova tank . very cheap , re-buildable , and uses an atty , instead of a carto . Just an idea . Good Luck .

Some flavors are just carto killers. The only thing you can do is bulk order your cartos. Sometimes there are sales at like healthcabin where you can get a good deal on 100 cartos.

Well I didn't notice any bulk sale today at health cabin but was able to buy some boge 808d cartos at a terrific price.I got 4 five packs and saved real money as compared to my normal brand. Never tried Boge but I've heard great things and they come in orange, that helps.

You know the other night I kind answered my own question, I figured out what was going on with with Highbrow by reading the threads here (I really need to do that more often:blush:). It turns out Highbrows tobacco vapes are made with real tobacco extract(news to me) and that vapes made this way are notorious for carto clogging. I was wondering why the tobacco vapes they sell tasted so realistic it turns out they are real. So the good news is I can buy their non-tobacco vapes without worry of carto clogs and I guess I can use the tobacco vapes I got from them as a once in a while thing and perhaps they will work better on boge.

I did find a maker of tobacco extracted vapes on the threads over in the e-liquids section that susposedly doesn't clog cartos Heather's Heavenly Vapes so I'm trying them. People are saying great things, just ordered some Dark Horse from them if their stuff is as good as people say I may have a replacement.

Thanks for the healthcabin tip.

Well just ordered some Boge cartos and I'm looking forward to trying them if they work out it's a real money saving option. I did check springvapors but didn't notice any 808d cartos but I'll be checking back. I will definitely check out the Vivi-Nova tank. Thanks for tips.

Not sure, but I believe Highbrow may be mostly to all vg. VG is a carto clogger. If they offer it with a higher pg alternative, try that and see if it helps. As far as a carto suggestion, my opinion is that Ikenvape cannot be beat.

IKV Gold 510 Cartomizer LR 2.0Ω

No the Highbrow stuff I got is mostly pg, it's the fact it's extracted from real tobacco that's causing the clogs. Was checking out the Ikenvape 808 section, looks good. I'll keep these in mind, i've experimented with vapes it's about time I experimented with cartos. After my Boge experiment I may check this out. Thanks for the tip!:)

100% agreed but the reason I didn't suggest it is because if you don't have the supplies and the know how to rebuild them then he'd just be in the same boat, only with more expensive atomizer heads if he had to by them to replace them.

So there are really 3 solutions here:
1: get a new juice, problem solved.
2: throw money at it (buy a bunch of stuff and throw it away when it dies)
3: learn how to rebuild atomizers and get a vivi nova and whenever you have a problem just replace the coil and wick.

Of the three, option 1 is the easiest and cheapest, though a combo of options 1 and 3 is the best in the long run. It's that whole "feed a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, show him how to fish and he'll eat for a lifetime" thing. On that note, here's how to fish (rebuild a vivi nova) by my good buddy RockinRobbieSF, fellow ecf member:

Congrats on finding your perfect juice! I have found many juices from Highbrow that are my favorites. One is Blackberry Limoncello. I love the stuff. But, it is a dark juice and seems to waste my Boge cartos faster than any other juice I've tried. A real bummer if you're trying to rock them in a tank.

Okay so even non-tobacco vapes from them kill cartos. You know I think I'm just going to have to forget Highbrow. Thanks for mentioning this fact I expect and need to get multiple uses from cartos.

Try using Boge cartos instead of Smoketech. I have bad luck with Smoketechs, they only last me 2 to 3 days if I'm lucky. I also love Highbrow's RY4 and French Pipe and don't have as much of a problem with Boges (cross my fingers). I've been using them for three weeks now, and each carto is lasting me more than a week in my Pyrex Tank and Polypro Sidewinder tank from Valley View Vapes. Good luck and happy vaping! Valley View Vapes also has 5 pc boxes of Boges for $6.99 if you buy 5 or more boxes. They will punch them for you and test them for $1.

Boges are the true Resurrectors, not smoktechs. They NEVER die (at least from cleaning and re-using them with the proper juice). You know what? Let Smoktech call theirs the Resurrectors and lie about it. From now on I am coining a new name for Boge - The Lazarus.

Here's what you do to make them last and last:

Get yourself an oral syringe (the plunger kind, not the one with the dropper bulb) from walmart for approx. 2 bucks. First you boil the cartos for 15 mins in a pan you don't care so much about. Take the carto and put it in the syringe battery side down (pull the plunger out first!). Now take a bowl or pan of the hottest tap water you can get and run the water in and out at least 50 times if not 100. It will come out snow white again. Blow it out through both ends and then stick it on a baking sheet with a sheet of foil to protect it. I like to bend the foil every so often and create little slots to hold my cartos. Now bake them in a preheated oven at 250 degrees fahrenheit (water boils at ~212 degrees). Let them cook for 15 mins, take them out to cool for 5, then back in for another 10-15. It's a lot of work, not going to lie, but they come out brand newish. They start to look crappy on the outside after a couple months of this but I have Boges that are going strong after 5+ months. I lost a couple, pretty sure it was to bad juice or bad quality control on their end, but 80% of them are still alive and kicking.

Ok, why an oral syringe? They're small and awkward - I don't get it. Because I have found nothing else that generates that kind of pressure. I originally got this idea from a guy who used a turkey baster so I bought one and it was total fail. The same concept could be used if you can get yourself a setup where you have some kind of oral syringe that runs out with aquarium tubing to fit the carto which you attach to the end and then you get another tube that runs from the other end of the carto into a bowl of water. This too would generate decent pressure. They sell kits like this for like 20 bucks but I think with a little DIY ingenuity you can make your own for less than a few bucks (aquarium tubing is cheap at the pet store - usually far less than a dollar a foot and you don't need much).

I use a syringe like baster with needle to flush the cartos both with air or water. Just put the carto plug with the hole in the center and pump away. The baster is bigger than a baby syringe and you don't have to pump as many times. Just my 2 cents, LOL.

I forgot all about those. I'ma get me one and check it out. I don't see how a boge would get clean if you put the plug in it though. There's a plastic tube down the center of them that leads out into the battery and if you plugged it up then I don't see anything getting to the polyfill on the side. That's why you need so much dang pressure to clean them. I've never dissected one but I might do just that an post the pictures.

I'm not having any problem with Highbrow juice in my Boges nor in my Smoketech cartos. I order what they call their "mix". I have not tried their tobacco juices tho.

Highbrow lets us choose what balance of PG/Vg so choose what you like. Ive noticed that with highbrows tobaccos as well as others. They make e-juices made from actual maserated tobacco leaves and tend to clog cartos and atties. Something in that process produces more particulates which gives you that great real tobacco taste but unfriendly to your cartos and atties. When I use basic juices that are not organic or really clear I can have a carto last me for days, even if they are heavier on the Vg. If I use my favorite tobaccos from Vermillion rivers, or Highbrow or any other NET type of juice they dont last for over a day. NET= naturally extracted tobacco. These juices even the lighter ones tend to have a cloudier appearance.

Exotic is my favorite tobacco juice. I have searched high and low for a cart that will hold up for more than a day or 2 with the juice(even the Boge's faze out within 48 hours),finally found one:) It's going on 3 weeks with the same one and not even a noticeable difference in performance since day one. Pick a few of these up,you won't be sorry:D
