atty burnt out?

I put my Sidesho with the manual battery in my pocket and I think I accidently pressed on the button while I was moving a box and afterward it tasted disgustingly burnt.

I put more liquid on it a few times but the burnt taste stays and it sizzles a bit. Is my atty completely dead? Is there anything I can do to try to make it work again?

do you still get vapor from it? If so, you can try and use some alcohol to rinse it out then rinse out. blow dry.
prime with a few drops of liquid and see if that helps. If not, get a new atty,
If you get no vapor probably almost dead, get a new atty,

Most likely a very dry atty. If you can I would drip 3 drops directly on the atty. Or if using a cart then prime it by drawing without the battery engaged 3 times. Sorry don't know what a Sidesho is but this seems to me like a too dry atty, hence that burning taste.

If the atty is sizzling, it's not dead. I get the burnt taste when the fiber drys out, or some fiber strands get into the atty bridge. Check for stray fibers.

I travel for my job, so I spend lots of nights in hotels with nothing to do. I guess I can consider posting on ECF as my hobby.
