I've been using a KR808 D-1 for a while now but finally ordered a Riva 510, which should be here Thursday. I am concerned that I'll kill all my attys out of ignorance so I'm asking for help. I've read the atty resurrection method so I'm aware of that for when attys aren't working, but what about just regular cleaning/maintenance of an atty? Also I've heard of peple taking out the bridge, what's that all about? Plus I've read about people rotating or turning them? Running them too hot?? I thought if I could get all my atty info in one spot it might save me, or my attys, later. Thanks in advance for any input.

You should always have a couple of spare attys because they will eventually go bad. For regular care, I just blow them out into a paper towel, run them through hot water and let them dry overnight. When they start getting gummed up with juice, I soak them in 91% Isopropyl Alcohol. The alcohol leeches out the gunk and dries without leaving any smell or taste. I will rotate my attys just to keep them clean and give them a break from being used. I've had the same attys that originally came with my kits over a month ago. Your results might be different though, because atomizers are funny and sometimes finicky things.

Oh, I almost forgot one of the most important things about atomizers...

Never, never, never vape them dry when you're using them! Atomizers like to be kept wet when they're in use. If you vape a dry atomizer for too long it increases the possibility of "popping" it and it won't work anymore no matter what you do. Dead attys aren't much fun...
