There are varying opinons on using LR atties with the eGo batteries. Some people use them and don't have any issues, some people report having them kill their batteries.

I think it all boils down to the switch, the ohms on the atty and how much you vape. If you don't vape enough to get the atty hot and don't go below 2.0 Ohms, then you MIGHT be okay. I say might because the MOSFET switchs in the eGo aren't designed to handle LR atties. It's a risk and only you can determine if you're willing to take it.

You know how it is... one person says something, and then it gets repeated, and pretty soon it has lost its original meaning. AFAIK, the original caution was for 1.5 ohm "LR" atties. Now, like WOH said above, 2.0 ohm LR atties might just be OK, as would 2.5 ohm LR atties. BTW.. "standard" ohms is 3.0.

So when we say LR atties, unless we specify the ohms, who knows what it means. I've not heard of 2.0 ohm atties frying eGo units, and I have heard that some vendors ship 2.0 ohm atties with eGo type devices. OTOH, there are different manufacturers, device revisions, etc. Go figure.

I guess it is just best to have a spare unit. I'd avoid 1.5 ohms. Then again, some swear by em. The 2.0 ohm atties will work on true 3.7 volt devices whereas the 1.5's are too hot IMO.

I thought the standard was ~ 2.5 ohm, the hr ~ 2.8 and above, and the lr ~ 2.0 ohm and below. Be that as it may, I'm satisfied with the 2.4 ~ 2.5 with my ego because that's my sweet spot for most of the juices I vape. If you want to try something in the 2.0 range, I think you should be ok because lots of folks are doing that. Just remember that, in general, those attys don't last as long plus they decrease the amount of time between charges and thereby shorten the life of your batteries. Lots of people claim it's worth it. btw, Madvapes is having a sale on attys if you want to check it out.

If I were you, I would just buy like one or two LR attys, and try them out. I think you should be OK using your eGo. If it does kill your battery, post and let us know. Personally, I use the standard resistance attys from vaporkings.com. They have great prices on bulk attys. They also sell LR attys in bulk too.
