Atty not performing

So my 510 atty that I've had for only a couple of weeks now is just not performing anymore. I noticed a drop off in performance after the first day and it has just kept going down hill since. It's to the point that it's just not enjoyable now. It's not dead, it still heats up a lot, but it's just not producing as much vapor and the taste is completely discolored and tinny(like metal tasting).

I've done all the tricks, from blowing it out to shooting 91% isopropyl alcohol through it with a syringe plunger. But it's just not performing like it did in the beginning.

I've heard people say that an atty isn't dead until it doesn't heat up anymore, but to me this might as well be dead because as hot as it gets, it doesn't perform the way it first did.

Anything I'm missing? Any other tricks? How often does this happen to you?

when I notice when my atty is getting discolored (about a 2 weeks worth of use) I give it a soak in the 3min denture cleanner. clean in hot water from my keurig, blow out the water and give about 5 quick dry burns....Works for me. Give it a try

Do a dry burn: Wsh or at least blow it out, then press the button until the coil glows red-hot, release, then short burns until the coil does go red hot within a second again. After that, flood it with plain PG, let sit for a bit, blow out the PG thoroughly, and you are ready to go.
