Just ruined two ego batteries with a bad atty? I just figured battery was dead (light flashed). So I changed to another battery off charger same thing nothing. Put batteries on charger light just stays green. battery also does not flash when first put on charger.

Cleaned battery and charger connection...nothing. Atty ohms test 1.8

So what just happened?

Hi lori from canadaigua..I am over here in port byron...someday I am going to see a vaper in public besides those that I got started on vaping.

No it was a lr atty. Checked voltage on battery it reads 7 volts. I think that is too high for an ego batt. The switch must be on as that is the voltage with out pressing the button... that does not light up now

My guess would be that there is something wrong with your meter, or the manner in which you are using it.

It is virtually impossible to get 7 volts out of an eGo class battery. It just can't happen.

If your atty drops down to about 1 Ohm, it will damage the MOSFET in the battery.....

Yep...wrong setting on battery tester. Battery putting out about 3.7 volts with out depressing switch. So battery stuck on. I assumed the bad atty was a regular and not an lr atty. I had been using it till it just broke down and ohms test now shows 1.8. I plan on tossing it as it ruins batteries in a flash. Just trying to avoid this again and looking at ways to do that
