I'm still using the same 2 510 attys I got a month ago. I never clean them just use every day and they still perform like new.
I did clean them with hot water when new to remove the starter fluid and dried overnight.
My question is one atty which sat for a couple of weeks after light usage has "gunked up". I thought I would give it a good cleaning, but here is my question. After cleaning an atty with water and drying overnight, can it sit for months?
Or is that likely to cause oxidation or even rust? Is it better to drop in a couple drops of the cleanest juice after drying overnight to keep it damp or will that cause problems if it again sits for a very long time?
I am wondering if in fact the primer that comes on new attys is to protect it during storage.
