atty ?

I purchased an ego XL around xmas and cleaned the attys last weekend after just using periodically, now my favorite does not work, it shows resistance to 7.0 and climbing, is this garbage? the other atty is 2.6. I have had a heck of a time with these, my other atty was tasting burnt right off the bat which I figured I did not prime it right and I have not go the hang of the carto's yet. So far all I do is drip, man I hope this is not dead, should I try and debridge or dewick it. I did purchase a few more attys last week to have extras, so much for extras.

They say when resistance is climbing it means it is diying or maybe it's just very dirty. I would try to clean it with any atty method then check the resistance again.

I soaked it in water, rinsed lightly, blew it out and left it to dry a few days.

I have already did this and the op is what has happened, guess it will be my first disect experiment.

Don't toss it out, keep it you may get a high voltage unit some day and it will probably give you some use then.
