Aussie True Blue Australian E-Cig?

G'day mateys
I've been smoking for 12 years now and tried everything under the sun to quit, with no avail... Until now, I'm brand spanking new to ecigs and I know these ingenuous little things are the key to slay my smoking dragon for good.

I'am planning on buying an Aussie blue Australian starter kit as they've come on special ($75 down to $35) at just the right time from ecigs
57% Off Nicotine-Free Electronic Cigarettes Kit with Delivery, Online

Has anyone heard of them or better yet tried them and can offer me tips, comments or cautions?
I really do find e-cigs intriguing and find I have a thirst for info that I just can't seem to quench!

Best advice I can offer you is to get 5 posts here in the Newbie's forum and then wait an hour. Then you can go to the aussie forum and there are a lot of locals that will get you tracked with the right solution and product to insure your vaping experience is a smashing success. Good on ya, mate!

Alright mate?

If you are wondering whether or not to get an e - cigarette there is good news and bad news for having one in australia. The good news is I got one with 8 grams of nicotine and I think its brilliant. There is no smoke only vapor which is similar to condensation, there is no oder what so ever, it doesn't pollute the atmosphere so it is better for the environment and you don't get lots of smoke around the room.

However the bad news is... the "e juice" is banned in australia, even cartridges. This video will help you out.

I only found out recently though :S

I personally am trying to find different legal alternatives. I'll keep you up to date if I find anything.

Hope this helped

I know mate. Same with chop chop (home grown tobacco). It doesn't have all of the harmful chemicals that branded tobacco has yet it's illegal because the government can't tax it. It's all just a way to try and make money for the government and at the same time, eliminate all smokers entirely.

Just come from the UK and I can't believe what it's like for smokers here.

So how did you get yours with nicotine into Bendigo and not get fines 8,000 bux?

Here is something I cut from the Aussie forum.

"If you are in Australia - Buy your Nicotine as unflavoured nicotine from Box Elder.

You can buy Doubler in Australia from a number of vendors and mix to your own strength or requirement.

Its as easy as that.

As to the black market...I have no idea. Maybe someone out there is trading illegally, but I have never seen it nor do I condone it.

Why do the wrong thing when what I have put above is perfectly legal to do?

Alternatively....buy a pre-mixed ?mg juice from whichever vendor you can find that ships to Aus."

No worries, mate.

I got it from a mate in melbourne who didn't want it anymore so he sold it to me. He didn't know either. You can still the e cigarette but you aren't allowed any filled cartridges or juice. The e cig comes with an empty one.

I'm thinking of buying jelly for the nicotine inhaler and using that in the empty cartridge. Not sure if it will work but i'll give it a shot

edit Nearly forgot a good alternative to the e cig is the nicotine inhaler. Not as good but give you a similar feeling.

There really is no problem purchasing great tasting juice with nicotine in australia or making your own. Just get your 5 posts and go to the Aussie forum on ECF. All your questions and concerns will be handled there if you read the existing threads.
She's right, mate.

Hi ya Bigsm0ke, it's great to see another West Aussie enter the wonderful world of vaping :)

In response to your original post...in my personal opinion I wouldn't get that eCig you were looking at, you want something that's going to go the distance.

There's some great information available here at ECF and my top tips for when you're starting out are:
1) research
2) Check out the vendors in the Aussie section (there's one based in Perth)
and 3) research (can't stress this enough)

Once you've done your 5 posts...if you haven't already check out this thread

Good luck with it all and keep us posted on how you go
