I've been deciding whether or not to get this mod for the longest time. And like always, I should've gotten it when it first came out with the fancy wooden box with low serial number. But oh well, I'm probably not going to be reselling it anyway so serial #2103 will be fine.
Anyway, I finally decided to buy I told a buddy of mine that if he get the hammer clone, I'll go ahead and order the authentic one.

So, here we are, the Hammer.

Thanks! I actually will not be using the Kraken on it, I was just too lazy to rebuild my KFL+ . The Kraken will be sitting on the Satin brass King.

I really like how the brass Kraken looks on the hammer… Ties into the tone of the engraving nicely.

Just picked up my authentic hammer as well (but waiting for vape mail) and I think I might need to snag that kraken to pair it up.

I'm really enjoying the hammer but the kraken is no longer on it. I put the KFL+ on the hammer and the brass kraken on my satin brass king.

Just got mine today and this thing is AMAZING! Will post pics later… I've never used a kraken or genesis for that matter. I'm currently running a KFL+ and picked up a AGA-TD to test whether I'm feeling a genesis before spending the dough on a high-end. Build on this thing is rock solid and hit on it is beast. I've never held a clone to compare it but as far as I'm concerned it was money well spent.

I prefer the KFL+ on the hammer than the Kraken but that's just me.

I see that. I was able to track down someplace local that is trusted as well. My biggest fear was getting a clone in a fancy $200 box.

If it's a reputable shop you shouldn't have issues. They'd have to be pulling a full blown scam operation to be putting clones in the wood boxes that authentic hammers come in and that type of character would hopefully show through by a conversation as well as the other products they sell. Doesn't hurt to check it out! Best of luck!

There seem to be a lot more stores carrying the hammer now. I usually check yelp too if they have a physical store just to see what people say about the products.

I got the brass extensions and the AW 18490 & 18650 batteries are loose and rattle - do you need magnets to extend the battery and where would I find them? Or is there something else I'm missing?
