Just wondering if anybody else has had the problem with auto bats sticking, as in they turn on when you take a draw, but dont turn off. After this happens i have to gently blow in to reset the switch, then go back to vaping. Its happening more and more now (as in, every time now). Was just wondering if anybody else had this problem and knew how to fix it?

I have never heard of this one. Is this one of the newer batteries? The 3 hole ones? I am looking forward to getting one. How long have you had the battery? Is it possible it is on its way out? I have had my Kr's since June and all still running strong. If it is new I would sggest contacting Vendor and telling them what has happened, I'm sure if its getting stuck they will help ya!

Its a 2 hole so not the newer ones, my best guess is the autos work with a diaphram in the bat the moves up when you draw, and pops back down when you release, im guessing whatever makes it pop down is to blame, i know its not juice since i havnt had a 808 cart leak yet (yet another reason the 808 rules). Guess ill throw a email to frank at cigeasy and see if he has any ideas. - Ive only had the bat like a week or so and it works GREAT, when it turns on of course lol!

Edit: Oh yeh who carrys the new 3 holes ones? id assume they have a easier draw id defiantly be interested in trying one of them!

The auto batteries have a small diaphragm in them that actuates the switch. It looks like a miniature baby bottle nipple... without the hole.

If you had an overfilled carto.. or something like that... liquid can get down into the diaphragm and cause it to misbehave. This doesn't mean that you got liquid down into the electronics.

You may chose to just contact V4L and see if you can get a replacement. Of, if you choose, take the corner of a napkin or paper towel... roll it up tight to make a point out of it.. and stick it into the center hole in the battery. That may wick out the juice and proper function may be returned. No guarantees.

Another option for over dripping or wet battery is to get yourself a bag of white rice put in a gallon size baggy get all the air out and seal it.. leave atty and battery in there for at least 24 hrs. The molecules in the rice will absorb all the moisture.
4 months ago I dropped my 510 in a water play area (well water no less) Someone though I cannot remember who told me to put my drowned battery in there.. it was 3 days old and a new brushed silver manual.. I was grieving..lol but low and behold IT WORKED.
If its only been a week I would contact seller and definitely let them know about his.

I also need to Apologize.. it the new manual batteries that have the 3 air holes not the auto's.. the auto's still have 2 and the slot and will work with both style cartos!

Is yours a manual or auto?

If you are looking for an easier draw.. there are a few things you can do to fix this..
take the rubber plug out of the cart. I have been dripping and vaping with NO leakage without the rubber stopper in the cart.. just do not over fill the cart. I took that tip off and replaced with a 901 whistle tip.
You can also turn the battery and loosen up a bit to allow more airflow to the cart.. and also here is an option:

Dale.s, did you find a resolution to this or did you end up getting a replacement? I just got my kr-808 kit today and the auto regular battery I received started sticking straight out of the box.

One puff and the thing keeps going until it hits the cut-off (about 5 secs). A few of these attempts and the battery shuts off completely for about 20 secs before I can vape again. Frustrating to say the least.

And btw, isn't 5 seconds a short cut-off time or this that normal?

Tenantsf: 5 seconds is the norm (its a shame, they should really do 10 second as normal). I havnt fixed it yet, but ive been given a few idea to try, if i ever get finished moving rooms around my house ill try them out and let you know.

On a diffrent topic, dont you hate when your wife says "Honey, i think that room would be better for the bedroom, so lets swap the rooms" 2-3 day job just to get my bed back, ugh!

I'm too impatient to wait for a replacement so I tried the paperclip method that Scottbee referenced above in an earlier post knowing that I would risk ruining the battery completely if things went wrong.

I straightened out one of those thick large paperclips and inserted it gently and slowly into the hole of the battery. I didn't insert the paperclip all the way in; I inserted only until the paperclip hit the internal diaphragm/flap (it felt like a flap door). Then I pushed gently through this diaphragm, the LED flashed and then pulled out.

Well, the gods of fortune and e-cig batteries were in a great mood because it worked! The battery is functioning properly, no more sticking and the cut-off is now more than 5 secs. :D

Given what Star4024 wrote above me about his fried battery, please don't try this unless you are willing to possibly lose a battery. For me it worked out perfectly, however, as they say, your mileage may vary.

It was suggested that i try the "suck and wipe" method, that is sucking on the thread end of the battery then wiping with a paper towel to get any gunk out. Well i tryed and didnt get anything out, but it fixed the problem (kinda anyway, now i have to draw real hard to get it to activate, but it does turn off now!). Im guessing the diaphram switch isnt always situated right since you fixed with a paper clip and i fixed with direct draws. Moral of the story, get manual bats! lol!
