Between my family I have tried 3 XL manuals, 1 XL auto, 4 reg autos, 1 reg auto, 1 auto shorty, 1 auto mini, auto PT and a manual PT.

Typically an auto has an easier draw then a manual. All batteries tend to behave different. I'm sure this is due to machining variances.

I prefer a manual, due to being able to control my drag, without it cutting off, or getting stuck on. I also refill my cartos which having a sealed battery can help in case I overfill, or whatnot.

I will say I use an auto while driving or at work. I absolutely love the draw on an auto over a manual as well. If there was a light drawing manual, I'd be in heaven!

A tip for the manuals, always keep the air holes and threads clean! I use a small dental pick for the holes, and a Qtip dipped in rubbing alcohol for the threads.

Which one do you like and why? Are the auto batteries as easy to flood and ruin as they are on the other models? I like the no hands vaping you can do with the autos but really hated going thru 2-3 batteries a week. And since the kr8 batts are more expensive I want to make sure I'm going to get the right one for me.

Also, are the XL batteries really as good as as people say they are? How much difference is there between them and the regular ones?

I apologize for not just reading and finding all this out for myself but I have a bad headache and can't take too much light and reading right now so I'm taking the easy way out and asking the V4L experts. Thanks everyone!

Edit to add: Can they be charged in a 901 USB charger or do I need one especially for the KR8?

I prefer the autos for the hands free aspect and natural feel. And like others have said, leaking into your battery is not much of an issue on the KR because of the atty design. You can still do it for sure, but it is hardly the issue it is with certain other models.

If the draw is too loose for you on an auto you might want a manual though, a bit less air flow.

As far as the XL, I'm not a big fan. The charge does last longer, but if I'm going to go bigger I might as well have 5 volts in my hand. I'd take two regular batteries over one XL and to get the extended battery life. Plus than I can shotgun with one in each hand if I feel the need for a big cloud of love. It also doesn't fit in a PCC...not that I care for that either since I'd rather have four charged batteries than two and a PCC.
