Ive got the evod bcc which im liking but i want to try a few different things..

Got some 510 carts on the way but i also want to try out an automatic 510 battery to get that cig a like feel. Planning to use the evod battery when i need manual power but really wanting to give an auto a go. Anyone recommend a decent one and a good uk price/vendor?

Thanks!

Are you sure you want to do that?

Mini cigalikes have very short run times - 45 to 90 minutes. The constant recharging gets real tired, real fast.

If it's a 510 auto - no matter if it's a cigalike or an eGo size (if you can still find them) - it's what they refer to as an "unsealed" auto battery. The vent hole required for an auto to work is right in the middle of the center battery post. All it takes is one flooding accident to get liquid in there and kill the electronics - and the battery in the process.

They do make what is erroneously called a "sealed" auto battery. If it were truly sealed it wouldn't work at all. In this case the vent hole for the sensor is moved from the battery center post, to the sides - right above the threads on the battery. This makes the chance of a flooding accident less likely - but not impossible either.

The problem with "sealed" auto batteries is they only come in 808 or 801 threading. That will mean buying a whole second set of stuff to fit these batteries. And since 808/801 isn't as popular you will be paying a lot more for the batteries and anything that fits them.

You can try it if you must, just be aware of what you are getting into.

Lol im not sure what i want at the moment, the world of ecigs is darn complicated!

Ive been having a conversation with DJS and he has given me some great advice. Im going from the clears to a 510 cart (with cone) to see if that helps me out a bit more. I keep going back to the darn nicolite as i really enjoy the "pull" of it so i guess in my mind im looking for something similar.

Oddly enough i was mucking around and the nicolite cart actually fits my evod battery and it felt quite decent even though i still dont exactly feel like im getting that pull from manual as i would on a auto, force of habit?

Not really. Manuals and autos have different draws to them. I had the same issue when I first started vaping, and I decided I preferred the draw of an automatic over a manual any day. I even drip on my automatic batteries and have learned how to do it without killing the battery, though it took some trial and error.

The automatics themselves have different draws due to differences in airflow. I prefer a more open draw on my autos. Since you're in the UK, I can't reccomend specific vendors. But I can say I enjoy the Echo, which is a fat battery 808. I also like the Modern Vapor Sidesho, which is a modern j108 battery. Unfortunately it's the only modern j108 I've been able to find. And my current favorite is the eRoll.

Of the ones I've mentioned, only the Sidesho is a 510 connection. But they do make adapters to use 510 cartos on 808 batteries if you choose to try them out.

Good luck.

Oh yes, I forgot.....Nicolites are 510 thread.

I did the same as you and bought 2 x Joyetech 510 batteries. I went for the manual option. They were a good vape with LR cartomisers, but lasted a very short time indeed. LR cartos improve the vape quite a bit, but munch up the power.

I would just let you have them, but they are on loan a.t.m.

What were the Nicolites like on your evod battery? Any good?

Or, go to the sister company and get this

510 Titan Tank Complete E Cigarette Compact Kit | TECC

seems more money spending, but even if you only keep the battery and charger, it's £15.

That's basically what I bought, in manual x2. You might even bin the whole lot, keep the battery, the liquid and USE THE ATOMIZER for testing flavours....like a dripping atomiser.

- - -

£4 atomizer, £5 liquid, £8 battery. Already paid for itself.(??)

That would do it.

BUT: This is only a 220 mAh capacity battery. If you have an Evod or eGo battery the charger for those batteries cannot be used. If you read the ratings plate on the charger you should find it puts out 420 mA current - which is nearly twice the capacity of the Titan battery. Putting more current into a battery when charging than it's rated capacity causes batteries to explode.

Having said that I'm not sure what charger you need to get from that site. This one here: 510 Titan USB Charger does say it "will allow you to re-charge any of the 510 Titan batteries" but they aren't giving us actual specifications for that charger either.

Yes. True.

That's why I searched for a kit.

Automatic batteries suck, um, I mean, automatic batteries have to be sucked to prime them, like when you lost your cherry and had just a small chunk left, got to primer hit it to warm up the coils. Don't really see how that is more like smoking than pushing a button. But to each his/her own. That's why there are so many choices out there.

When I take a draw on a vaporizer, I want great vape with the very first pull,

I'd recommend going to the UK region part of the forum, probably get more help there.

My carts turned up with 18mg of nico straight and its exaclty what ive been looking for! It works good on the nicolite battery so i can go to that anytime i feel the ego is a bit too much. Both auto and manual are great, the manual will do for longer journeys or out at the pub and the auto will do for when at home or i need to go to it whenever.

Now just need to fill up on a ton of juice and some more spare carts (though 5 should last me the month right? thinking 5 carts for 5 to 6 uses = a months worth)
