i think the mvp uses the ego threading?

if so, i have fallen in love with the kanger areotank. out of the box my favorite tanks so far.

Yes.....I remember seeing that one at my local B&m. Glass or plastic tank? If it takes the same coils as either of my other 2 styles, thats one ill be interested in then. thanks

I would say buying from your local B&M would be the only way to avoid it. If you are fortunate enough to have one close by. Warranties and return policies can vary from place to place but anyone who wants to stay in business is not going to refuse to make it right if a defective product is returned within a reasonable amount of time. With everything coming from China and the hassle of shipping defective products back and forth to and from online vendors I could see that being very frustrating. Anything no matter who builds it can always be subject to defect.

Nothing is leak-proof.

Tanks are like owning Gremlins. They come with rules.

1) Don't over fill it.
2) Don't twist it on too tight.
3) Always check your o-rings. If one's lost, or the base o-rings are damaged, it will leak.
4) There may be a hair-line fracture in the tank that you cannot see. Is it leaking from the bottom metal base?
5) How old are the wicks? If the wicks are older than two weeks, it may just be time for a wick change.
(EDIT: To anyone reading, these rules apply to "top-coil" atomizers.)
(For bottom-coil clearomizers, the rules are a tad different.)

iClear16's produce great vapor and excellent flavor, but they are very fragile. They do not like pockets or purses. Any sort of lateral pressure from the side can cause them to break.

You may want to look into iClear 30's if you like the 16's. They will make your device top-heavy and you won't be able to use a lanyard, but they do stand up better than the 16's.

EDIT: Other than that, I agree with the above poster. If you have a B&M store with a knowledgeable staff, ask about cartomizer tanks.

Been buying from my B&M but have a feeling that as a newbie I might be causing the leaks myself so wouldnt feel right trying for a return. For example.. trying to clean one I poured boiling water over one and a seal floated up in the bowl. got a lot to learn I think..

As a noob myself I found I was tightening everything down too tight as well. That's where my B&M comes into play. They are always happy to help even when I'm not in there to buy anything. I'll usually pick up a few replacement heads or something anyhow just to make myself feel better about it. And I certainly don't mind paying a little more for something in exchange for their knowledge and service.

:oops:Most of the problems solved. So correct here Lee. A lot of my own problems have been newbie things like not realizing how the tanks are constructed, over tightening, dropping etc. Thanks to all who responded.
