Hey David, any word on those darn little cr123's? I stupidly ordered one at a time and now I only have one

There was some movement in customs, so i'm hopeful they will be in today or tomorrow at the latest. I'll be sure to post up when they are in :)

Very nice looking mod Panky. Congratulations!

I know some of you use GGTS mods. I bought a couple cheap batteries (as times have been tough) from China. Yes, I got what I paid for. The hit is horrible. What battery do you all suggest? I want 18650 because of the long life. I have read that the 2200mAh are great. Or should I use IMR 18650?

I would like as close to 4 volts, for as long as possible. I have read through much of this thread, and just wanted a final opinion or two from GG owners.

Hi super t
When are the AW IMR 18350 coming back instock?

Will the pila charger work with the 18350? Or will I need a spacer and do you sell spacers?

Thank you

Evening Evosil98,

Latest word from AW is towards the end of February. When using the PILA with the IMR 18350, you can use two of the 15mm aluminum spacers. They are located just below the WF-139 charger for 1.99 each.

I use the black aw's mostly but I have a lot of used batts, I just switch a lot......the only time I have bought any lately is the IMRs here for my future kick and my provari, otherwise I stay with aw, panasonic and ultrafire I have picked up from the classys -- but I'm a scrounge, too!!!

Here are the test results of the AW IMR 18650 1600mAh vs the 2000mAh. Test was performed at 2.5 amps which is the approximate draw of a LR 1.5ohm atomizer. The winner? It's a tossup.

Through most of its life, the 1600mah does hold slightly higher voltage under load .

Though total tested mAh of the 2000 was almost 400 more, only 200mAh of it was "useable" and only when using vari voltage/wattage devices (assuming we change out the battery by 3.3volts which is when the Kick by Evolv automatically shuts off). The other 200mah was gained when the battery was under 3.3 volts.

My opinion. If you are running vari wattage/volt mods, run the 2000mAh as you will gain maybe another 1/2 to 1 hour run time.

If running mechanical or non VV mods, run the 1600mAh for its added ability to hold voltage under load. If you change your batteries out at 3.5 volts, you gain no mah by running the 2000mah and it can't hold voltage as well as the 1600mAh.

Just so this doesn't get buried:

AW P18650 2600mah vs 2900mah vs 3100 mah. And the winner is:

The AW P18650 2600mah by a large margin
. It not only has a higher useable mAh rating then the 2900mAh or 3100mah, it holds up to .2 tenths higher under load! The below stats would also apply to other batteries such as the Redilast and Callies Kustoms 2900 and 3100mah as they use the same panasonic cells as the AW 2900mah and 3100mah.

All tests were conducted at 2.5 amp draw, which is the approximate draw of an LR atomizer.

The AW P18650 2600mah holding up to .2 tenths higher voltage under load then the 2900mah or 3100mah is clear in the graph, however, look closely and you'll see it (the 2600mah) actually has a much higher useable mAh rating too. Let me explain:

Let us say we change out our batteries at 3.3 volts, which our vapor is quite weak at this point. Here are the mah ratings achieved before hitting the 3.3 volt change out voltage on all three batteries:

P18650 2600mah at 3.3 volts: 2216 mAh

P18650 2900mah at 3.3 volts: 1879 mAh

P18650 3100mah at 3.3 volts: 1741 mah

Larger mAh ratings are achieved by manipulating the C ratings. Sure the 3100mah may be better on an extremely low amperage draw, but not on our Ecigs.

This is good news for all. The cheapest of the 3 is the 2600mah and it has the most useable mAh and load holding capability!
